💫Day 5:

My camera roll after our adventure began with a tour of a stunning cave system that felt like stepping into another world. 🤌🏼

We made our way to eat ice cream at an incredible shop that had unique flavors like Arroz con gandules (rice & beans), garlic, and over 50 more.

We wrapped up the day with dinner in the mountains that gave us panoramic view of the island. It was absolutely breathtaking. This was one of our favorite dinners and the scenery made it even more unforgettable.

After exploring nature, I’m ready for a relaxing day on the beach. 🏝️

💫 Day 4:

We started our day in Isabela to visit the Túnel de Guajataca where they had tons of kids activities and animals for families to enjoy. We walked through nature alongside the ocean and tunnel that had beautiful views. The tunnel itself is a remnant of the sugar cane era, when trains were used to transport sugar cane from the farms in the area.

The tunnel led to hiking path where I definitely played amongst the snake plants. I can’t help but think the thousands of dollars this is right here. 😅 I pay good money at Lowe's for these plants and here they are thriving in nature.

We then hopped out the car for a quick visit to Cara del Indio. The massive rock sculpture honors the Taíno chief who fought against the Spanish invasion of Puerto Rico and symbolizes the chief continuing to protect and watch over his land.

Then we ended the day at one of our favorite beaches, soaking up the sun and waves. It was everything I loved, less touristy, more locals and perfect water.

The next stop on our itinerary, Camuy, Puerto Rico.

🌟Day 3:

Day three was SO FUN! We started our adventure in San Sebastián known for its rich history and waterfalls. We visited a huge and amazing local market, one of the biggest in the area with tons of vendors. The mix of artisanal crafts, delicious foods, and live music made it an incredible experience. I introduced my daughters to Piraguas, a Puerto Rican snow cone from shaved ice — all done by hand. 🍧 My daughter was shocked by how much work it was but the end result was yumm!

The day’s highlight was our trip to a stunning waterfall. Now, I have a 23 month old and 13 year old and would it be easier to not go hike to a waterfall — yup! But the memories we would have missed out on. Traveling with kids *does* require planning and preparing but it’s so WORTH it. They don’t have to be the reason to miss out and they won’t be ours.

We winded down the day with dinner on a mountain ranch, complete with a cable bridge which was an experience. Then off to Aguada we went to visit family and have the perfect ending in the campo with family and games of dominoes.

🌟Puerto Rico Day 2:

Day two was a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. We started at Crash Boat Beach in Aguadilla, and it truly lived up to its reputation. Early bird gets the best parking or you’re walking LOL. The family-friendly atmosphere, with its chair and umbrella rentals, food stands, water sports, and calm waters, made it an ideal spot for a laid-back day.

The real highlight for everyone was the ATV excursion I had planned. We rode ATVs along the stunning west coast and explored four beautiful beaches.

Is it just me, or do you also need a good mix of beach relaxation and exploration? I love how excursions can really elevate a trip, and this one definitely delivered. The best vacations I’ve had always include a fantastic guide and exciting tours/adventures.

We ended the day with an amazing dinner featuring the best Mofongo, a Puerto Rican staple, we had all trip. It was so good that we're still raving about it. It was a perfect day all around.

Tomorrow, let’s heads out to San Sebastián.🚘

📍Puerto Rico was a breath of fresh air and the perfect way to end the summer. Living on island time was just the recharge my soul needed. 🏝️🇵🇷

Day 1 Recap:
We arrived late the previous night on the west coast of the island and by the morning we were off to get breakfast at a local cafe.

The rest of the day was spent connecting with family and exploring my mom’s hometown of Añasco. It was so special watching my girls stroll through the same streets their mama used to walk.

Añasco, known as "La ciudad donde los dioses mueren" ("The city where gods die"), has this fascinating history tied to Spanish conquistador Diego Salcedo. According to legend, he was drowned by the Taínos to prove that Europeans weren’t immortal gods.

I’ll always find the best dining spots overlooking the ocean and Anasco had this plus some of the best Empanadillas on the west coast. They had every kind of filling you could imagine and were absolutely delicious—10/10 SO GOOD!

The romantic anniversary getaway 💫

I was at the edge of my seat the entire time the “G” family was at their Boston getaway. 🙈

👇🏼I’d love to know if you would stay here too?!

The “G” couples main ask was to stay within walking distance to Boston’s major sightseeing and an idea of local things to do.

Done and done ✅

There’s TONS to do in Boston. I sent over a curated Boston itinerary with top local recommendations and don’t want to miss spots — hello best cannoli spot in the state!

They fell in love when I shared with them this iconic and historic hotel in the heart of downtown Boston. This hotel has modern amenities but maintains its rich wood paneling and intricately carved moldings that takes you back in time. It’s truly a beautiful rarity.

Local history says haunted sightings and noises on specific floors have been reported by guests and it’s known as one of the most *haunted* hotels in history.

PSA: Your location matters!

Especially when traveling with children. A few of you have asked my thoughts about how to decide your location at Wildwood.

The Wildwoods have a few sections with the most popular: Wildwood & Wildwood Crest. There are tons of hotels/motels but not all offer the same amenities or quality.

When traveling with kids, if a more serene atmosphere & family-friendly vibe is important for you, focus your stay in the crest section of town. Wildwood Crest offers easy beach access and a quieter environment perfect for littles and families, and couples looking for more relaxing area to stay in. 🐚

Here’s a few questions to consider when choosing your beach location and hotel:

👉🏼 What’s important for your stay?
👉🏼 Is convenience and ease a want or a need?

📣 Pixar Palace Hotel is officially open at Disneyland Resort! 🔵 🔴 🟡

The Disney Parks team just shared these pictures from the official opening and it’s so good.

It’s every Pixar fans dream! This hotel is just steps away from Disney California Adventure Park and is fully themed for your most favorite Pixar movies and characters.

Every room has been renovated/“reimagined”, the hotel has rooftop activities, and will even have character sightings throughout the day with meet and greets from Bing B**g from "Inside Out" for the first time ever!

You know it’s going to be a good day when you walk into Epcot and catch sight of this iconic giant ball – Spaceship Earth.

Don’t forget there’s a ride inside that you can take a break from walking and escape the heat. It’s the perfect few minutes to just sit back and relax.

⭐️ Parent tip: This ride has no height requirement. Infants and toddlers can ride along with you. This is a slow and dark ride that shows the history of human communication from the Stone Age to the computer age. It’s a good pit stop for a quick nap or feeding but maybe boring for older kids.
