Keukaview Marketing and Design, the parent company of Keukaview Photography, has developed this logo for the Keuka Outlet Trail to be used by the Yates Heritage Tours Project in its Outlet Trail projects

http://www.yatesheritagetours.com/

It will also be available to be used by Yates County, The Village of Penn Yan (Parks and Recreation), the Penn Yan Lions Club, and the Friends of the Outlet, upon request. We are recommending that for integrated marketing, a single logo be developed for the Trail for use both by the Village of Penn Yan and The Friends of the Outlet who each own a section of the Trail. Until a better one is developed and agreed upon, they are welcome to use this one.

It is fitting that the falls at Seneca Mills be selected as the "Iconic Image" of the Keuka Lake Outlet Trail and the centerpiece of this logo. It was this very falls that drew the first white settlers to Western NY and Yates County....the followers of the Universal Friend..in 1788, .because they needed water power for mills.

They built the very first water powered mill in Western New York (the "Friends Mill") right here..on the south bank, just downstream from the falls.

What a historic treasure this site....and the whole Keuka Outlet Trail is... for Yates County. You can learn the story of the Universal Friend community in the driving audio tour produced by The Yates Heritage Tours Project

Drive along one of Yates County's "Pathways Through History" with the Universal Friend Driving Tour...and learn where the County's first white settlers arrived....and lived. What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon showing visitors around Yates County, and learning the fascinating story of the Universal Friend and her community. You can purchase the tour at Milly’s Pantry and Longs Cards and Books. http://yatesheritagetours.com/drive%20tour.htm

I took Leona Jensen on the first part of the Universal Friend Audio Tour this week........the fist time I had taken the tour since our team created it. If you haven't done it, stop in at Milly's Pantry, purchase a copy, and after a cup of coffee drive down to Perry Point and drive the first/eastern portion of the tour. You may want to save the latter portion, in the town of Jerusalem, for another warm, sunny, winter day.

Its a wonderful Christmas gift too. For more information on the tour go to the YHTP website at http://yatesheritagetours.com/drive%20tour.htm'
