Dear all,

28peaks has to say goodbye. Due to Covid-19 and the measurements which were globally taken, 28peaks can no longer survive. Bringing people together, photographing and traveling were the three main goals of 28peaks. This is no longer possible. And will probably be very different in the future.
However, Susan and Peter will continue their cooperation with Tony, we want to create some special events in the future and hope to see you again some time soon.
And a big thank you to those who traveled with us and trusted us!
We wish you a peaceful holiday, stay healthy and optimistic!

Hi everybody,

times are difficult for travelers.

We at 28peaks plan our trips at least one year ahead. This is vital for the planning process as well as for our customers, who often need to know dates and prices a long time before the actual trip takes place.

Now we are in a situation where we cannot know whether our assumptions about how travel restrictions will develop are true or not. You are in the same situation. Will it be safe to travel? Will I be able to enter the country and get back home without being put into quarantine? Flights cannot be booked, hotels are closed and cannot be reached.
We had to cancel all of our trips in spring, also the workshops we usually do with American equine photographer Tony Stromberg. We are hoping that in fall most things will be back to normal and therefore postponed the Allstar workshop to November, which was a difficult task.

Being optimistic we even scheduled a new Morocco trip for October and offered it on our website. Although there are no obligations involved, no deposit…nobody has signed up so far. And to be honest, we did not expect anybody to sign up.
As it looks like for now we will only do this one workshop later this year. We will survive this as a company. We are not sure though if all of our partners all over the world will still be operating their businesses next year. All of them are facing massive losses and economically there is a certain limit to what one can do.

Besides illness and death Corona brought uncertainty and fear. We hope, we will all overcome this period without losing our trust in life and our love for traveling and photographing. Hope to see you all again one day.

No deposit, no obligation - you can cancel without explanation. Of course I hope you woudn't. We have to be positive and optimistic. Corona is a huge weight on our shoulders but we should not allow it to bring us down and restrict us from doing the things we love. Nobody knows how the situation will be in October. And because nobody knows I invite you to consider travelling with me to Morocco. You can sign up without a deposit. If travelling then will still be prohibited or too difficult or too dangerous....we just cancel the whole thing. On Day 3 we went to visit the beautiful Glacier Caves on Iceland.
To get there was an adventure by itself. But it's worth every effort we put into that little hike!

Tomorrow our guides will arrive on Iceland and we are so happy to begin this journey we've all been waiting for.

The weather looks promising for some fresh snow the upcoming week. So stay excited to see some awesome pictures of this years Iceland Winter Wonderland.

Allstar Workshop May 3-10 in Portugal with Tony Stromberg, Rita Fernandes, Wojtek Kwiatkowski

We are staying in a 4 star hotel in Golegã (half board included). We will have two shoots per day at the best locations in Portugal with incredibly photogenic Lusitanos. The groups will be very small, maximum 9 people per group. Editing sessions and lots of help from three outstanding photographers.
