Melaka: Empat anggota Agensi Penguatkuasaan Maritim Malaysia (APMM) cedera apabila bot peronda mereka mengalami letupan kecil dan terbakar ketika sedang bersiap untuk memulakan operasi di laut, semalam.

Pengarah Daerah Maritim Kuala Linggi, Kapten Mazlan Mat Rejab berkata dua anggota APMM itu masih dirawat di Hospital Melaka manakala dua lagi dirawat pesakit luar.

"Sebuah bot ronda APMM mengalami letupan secara tiba-tiba ketika sedang melakukan persiapan untuk belayar pada 5.10 petang semalam.

"Letupan kecil menyebabkan kebakaran di atas bot berkenaan," katanya dalam kenyataan di sini hari ini.

Beliau berkata punca letupan berkenaan masih dalam siasatan.
