Holland
The Netherlands, a country in northwestern Europe, is known for a flat landscape of canals, tulip fields, windmills and cycling routes. Amsterdam, the capital, is home to the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and the house where Jewish diarist Anne Frank hid during WWII. Canalside mansions and a trove of works from artists including Rembrandt and Vermeer remain from the city's 17th-century "Golden Age."

At the Highest Waterfall - The path to the crest
Bambarakanda is the highest waterfall in Sri Lanka with a sheer drop of a 263 meters. In the world ranking its the 299th tallest waterfall in the world. The fall lies in the Badulla District among a evergreen forest in the Kalupahana Area.
This is not a wide waterfall but drops as a thin line from a rocky outcrop.March and April are the best months for viewing the falls, but any visit after heavy rainfall should be worthwhile. At other times, the water may be reduced to a disappointing trickle.Bambarakanda has a trail available for interested hikers to climb to the top of the falls. The crest has a beautiful miniature waterfall and a large pool which feeds the main falls. The uninterrupted views of the eastern plains also provide for some wonderful photo opportunities.

Haputale - SL - 2
Haputale - SL
A basic video - Blog type
One of the most spectacularly situated of all Sri Lankan towns, HAPUTALE is perched dramatically on the crest of a ridge at the southern edge of the hill country with bird’s-eye views in both directions – south to the plains and coast, and inland across the jagged lines of peaks receding away to the north. The town itself is a busy but fairly humdrum little commercial centre with a mainly Tamil population, though the mist that frequently blankets the place adds a pleasingly mysterious touch to the workaday shops that fill the centre.
As with Ella, the principal pleasure of a stay in Haputale is the chance to get out and walk in the surrounding hills – most notably up to (or down from) the magnificent viewpoint at Lipton’s Seat.Specific sights around town include the tea factory at Dambatenne, the evocative old country mansion of Adisham and the impressive Diyaluma Falls,Babarakanda Falla and Lanka Falls. The major drawback to Haputale is the weather, exacerbated by its exposed position. The marvellous views usually disappear into mist by midday, while the town receives regular afternoon showers of varying severity for much of the year – September to December is the wettest period.

Kandy to Ella Train Ride
Thank you 200 times - For your 200 likes :)
Lets celebrate
This is for you - For your travel diary
The Kandy to Ella train journey is said to be one of the most scenic, epic train journeys in srilanka.
The views on both sides of the rail are breathtaking. The train winds through the mountains overlooking farms and villages and of course vast tea plantations. The scenery changes throughout the trip. Often at times you are looking out at a entire green view then the next minute you are in the middle of a woodland forest. The most scenic part of the train journey is from Hatton to Haputale.
The train also passes through multiple tunnels. The kids in the train thought it was a great game to scream the entire time :D
Hanging out of the train gives you the best views and is an awesome feeling but be careful not to leave your limbs out of the train at the wrong time as there are trees and tunnels that come close to the train.
What about Haputale?
HAPUTALE - SRI LANKA
Perched at the southern edge of the Hill Country, the largely Tamil town of Haputale clings to a long, narrow mountain ridge with the land falling away steeply on both sides. On a clear day you can view the south coast from this ridge, and at night the Hambantota lighthouse pulses in the distance. On a not-so-clear day, great swaths of mist cling magnetically to the hillsides. Either way, it’s a spectacular part of the country.
Take a short walk and you’ll be rewarded with extraordinary views. The railway hugs one side of the ridge in a minor victory for 19th-century engineering.Don't forget to visit this city when you are on the way to famous ella.
