A message from the chairman.

Thank you for the outpouring of support and participation in Lake Irma’s First Annual Golf Cart Parade. We hope to grow this into an ongoing event each year. For our first parade, Lakeland native and long time community servant Randy Patten has been chosen to serve as the Grand Marshal.

Line up will start around 5:30 pm at the Robert Simpson Nature Trail Parking lot. We will ride clock wise around the lake. There will be volunteers at Pecan St and Temple St to help control traffic, but we ask that you stay to the inner lane to allow for residents and/or emergency services access to the north side of the lake. Music is allowed, but please keep it clean. No vulgar music. We are in a residential area with children. Other than that, follow all laws and have a good time. We want this event to continue!

There will be vendors at the Lakeland Farmers market we encourage you to check out. Also there will be a firework show hosted by the City of Lakeland at dusk. Following this show, a second round of fireworks will begin below the Paulson house. Anywhere around the lake should be good position to view!

3rd Annual bring your own fireworks show and golf cart parade currently being planned for July 1st at the Robert Simpson Nature trial! Parade will commence at 6p, and fireworks start at sunset. Let’s see who has the best decorated golf cart and makes the biggest boom!
