Why have just 1 day and 1 event - when you can have 3 in a tropical location??

I also work with a lot of couples who have a specific vision of a beach with the blue ocean behind them - they have a connection to the water and nature. And they want to celebrate their new life together there.

It's been an amazing 5 years working as a travel advisor for all of you.

I've help countless people travel to gorgeous and romantic destinations for their honeymoons, watched families take their kids to Disney and Universal, created custom European adventures and made so many beach wedding's a reality.

I'm grateful for everyone I've worked with and every trip we've together made happen.

5 of my best tips to get you through yet another crazy travel year:

✈️ Book those flights well in advance. At least three to four months in advance for international trips and six to eight weeks for domestic trips.

🛫 Avoid basic economy fares. Friends don’t let friends book basic economy, and friends definitely don’t let friends end up with added fees and no chance of a refund in case plans need to change.

🔎 Avoid online travel agencies. I need a whole novel to cover all of the reasons, but the biggest one is the lack of consistency and care and the fact that you’re always at the bottom of the barrel when you book through an online travel agency.

✨ Look for added value. No surprises, travel is not as cheap as it once was, so finding ways to add value to your getaways is key. For example, working with a travel advisor is a great way to get access to better rates, promotions, extra perks, etc.

⏰ Give yourself maximum flexibility. Whether it’s booking the flex fare or refundable hotel rate or adding travel insurance (always have travel insurance!), give yourself lots of flexibility just in case things don’t go exactly as planned.

The wait is over! I’m about to deliver a destination wedding itinerary for my clients headed to Hard Rock Los Cabos

Whenever I work on a destination wedding, my main goal is to recommend a resort that meets their needs and their guests needs.

These clients in particular wanted a modern, upscale resort that allowed children. They also wanted a nice mixture of active and relaxed. As well as a spot to party the night away!

So that’s why I recommended Hard Rock Los Cabos

They have the Los Gallos terrace that looks amazing - the ocean in the background, vibrate colors and vibe party vibe for their reception.

And the expansive beach for their ceremony.

During their stay guests can enjoy the pool volleyball, rock concerts, and the nightclub OR the quiet Eden pool for relaxation. (not to mention the water slides and kids club!)

Have you ever wondered how to fly with a wedding dress?

To check it, or not to check it. That is the real question!

When planning a destination wedding, your bridal dress will probably be one of the most valuable items you will have to transport.

Luckily, most airlines let you fly with your dress as a carry-on, and some even recommend it.

The airline crew will be just as excited as you are, and they are usually very accommodating in helping you make sure it stays safe during the flight.

I was just meeting with a couple today and they brought up their biggest fear about having a wedding in Mexico.

"Will my guests actually come??"

And honestly - this is a question I hear a lot. My couples are worried that people won't make the trip. I know couples that are afraid of the same thing when having a wedding at home.

This is a big part of what I help with! I help make the hotel pricing very clear and transparent - so people can plan and budget accordingly.

I also make it really easy to book their room. They don't have to do a lot of searching and digging. They get all the information and link on the wedding website.

PLUS - they have a human being to reach out to and ask questions!

I see about a 70% attendance rate (typical wedding is about 50%). I love to be able to help couples with this process.

I am SO SO SO EXCITED!!!

The new AVA resort in Cancun is open for reservations arriving after June 27, 2024.

This resort is just gorgeous. It's an upscale family friend resort.

Every.room. is oceanfront - and there are quite a few suites with separate sleeping areas for the kids, private terraces, and so much more.

How do you make the most of your travel budget? Allow me to show you the way:

✅ Don’t delay booking. Prices can fluctuate at the drop of a hat, so booking well in advance is a must.

✅ Have a plan. Have a general idea of how much you want to spend each day of your vacation so you can stay on track.

✅ Don’t fall for false advertising. Sometimes a travel deal looks just fine, but then you get to the fine print and realize it’s not as great as it seems. Keep an eye on the fine print for blackout dates and hidden fees.

✅ Work with a travel agent. I have access to offers and tons of value-added things that you won’t get when you book online through a third-party website.

I seriously love my job! It can be challenging, nerve wracking, and just plain hard. AND - every couple I meet - every consultation reminds me again and again WHY I love it!

Take this couple I met with today. At the end of our consultation the bride said "Wow.... I'm actually excited to plan my wedding again!"

Been engaged for a while and have struggled to pick a date and a venue.

They have a lot of friends and family who live all over the US. Do they have in it her hometown? Or his hometown? Or maybe where they met?

Nothing seemed right and it was really taking the excitement and fun out the whole process.

Talking about a wedding on the beach in a gorgeous location.

People are still traveling AND they are traveling to a fabulous resort - their food, drinks, and transportation are taken care of. Helping everyone with the logistical challenges.

AND the BEST part - the couple gets to spend several fun filled days together with their guests.

Seeing the excitement on her face, the creativity and ideas beginning to flow about what is possible and knowing the value and meaning to them.
