A huge thank you to Sheraton Grand Krakow for an amazing stay!

There were particularly 3 things that we loved a little extra about Sheraton Grand Krakow. These things topped our stay and made us long to come back.

Hey there!

If you didn't know already, we spent over 3 weeks in Dehradun, India, working with a NGO called Pratishtha Foundation. Pratishtha is a place for kids and youths from local slums to learn, hang out and take a break from their everyday life for a while.

We took the opportunity to interview 9 of these kids to learn more about their thoughts and dreams. Please have a look and let us know what you think!

If you like our film, we highly appreciate every share. Thanks and lots of love from Pajam and Ophelia ❤️

We've spent over half a month in Dehradun, India, working with a NGO called Pratishtha Foundation. Simply said, it's a place for kids and youths from a local...

People have told us we're crazy to volunteerly go back to India. I guess we are, but there are so so so many reasons to want to go back to this extraordinary country. Here's 17 reasons to why you should visit India.

Have you ever thought about going to India? So did we for a long while before we decided to actually go. It’s very different to travel India compared to travel other countries in South East Asia for example. To be honest, we were a bit scared. And we were a bit uncertain if we should …

Heeey there!! Long time no see, sorry about that... If you follow us on Instagram (which you absolutely should), you know we traveled through Sri Lanka in our own tuk tuk. How cool is that?! Pretty epic actually.

If you're curious about how you can do the same, or just curious in general, make sure you take a few minutes to read through our blog about it! :D

HEEEEY GUYS!!

Sorry for keeping you in the dark for so long. Since we got back home to Sweden in late May we've been focusing on work, friends and family and enjoyed everything that comes with being home. BUT now we're back! And we have some stuff going on....

SO, what's new?! Well, three things:

1. We've rebranded! We wanted to take Backpacking Foodies to a new level, and for us that meant a branding that matches us a little better. So, now we're Follow Us Beyond. Check out our new logo on our website www.followusbeyond.com.

2. We have bought tickets for our next adventure!!! In ONE MONTH we're taking the bus to Copenhagen and two days later we will board a flight to INDIA!! We are super duper excited and we hope you are too!

3. We have upgraded our camera gear which means we will be sharing some really cool stuff. 😉😉

We hope you're still with us, even though we've been away for so long and we really really hope you're all on board and excited for what's to come!

CHEERS 🥂

We are Pajam & Ophelia, a couple traveling the world. We love discovering hidden places, meet interesting people and get to know new cultures.

Did you enjoy our last post about how we explored Ha Long Bay with Indochina Junk?

Here's another post about our 3 days in Ha Long Bay. In this one we're sharing what we did during these days in detail!

https://www.backpackingfoodies.com/our-3-days-cruise-in-bai-tu-long-bay-ha-long-bay/

After traveling Southern and Central Vietnam for 7 weeks, it was time to explore the Northern part. This included the famous Ha Long Bay. As we are on a budget travel, we had first planned on going to Cat Ba Island, and from there find a day tour around Ha Long Bay for 10 bucks. …

We decided to treat ourselves during our last days in Vietnam. Instead of going with a small boat on a day tour around Ha Long Bay, we booked a 3 days cruise with Indochina Junk - Halong Bay.

Here's our review of our experience. Soon we will post a blog about what we did during our 3 days in more details. Stay tuned!

One of the most well known places to enjoy Vietnams' views is Ha Long Bay. People come from all over the world to see this natural wonder. Last week we spent a couple of days in Hoi An, Vietnam. Unfortunately, it didn't really meet our expectations.

Luckily however, we were staying at Maison Vy Hotel, which improved our time in Vietnam a lot! Here we could escape the busy streets of Hoi An and enjoy one (or two) of their delicious signature cocktails by the pool.

You can read more about our stay at Maison Vy Hotel through the link below.

https://www.backpackingfoodies.com/staying-at-maison-vy-hoi-an/

With more than 600 accommodation options, choosing a place to stay in Hoi An can be a challenge. But if you are looking for a laid back, cozy and modern place located minutes away from Hoi An Old Town, then look no further - Maison Vy Hotel is the place. Maison Vy was our home away from home during....

Have you ever heard about canyoning? It's a water sport that involves swimming in currents and streams and rappelling, sliding and jumping down waterfalls and cliffs. We heard about it for the first time about one year ago and immediately knew that we had to try it!

Last week we spent a couple of days in Da Lat, Vietnam. Da Lat is located 1500-2000m above sea level and has a very different climate comapared to the rest of Vietnam. It makes it a perfect place for water sports, and among other things, canyoning.

As soon as we arrived in Da Lat we found a tour company that we wanted to go with and booked our adventure.

Here's a post about what we did and what we thought about it!

https://www.backpackingfoodies.com/canyoning-with-da-lat-adventure-tours/

Da Lat is surrounded by lakes and waterfalls, making it a perfect place for water sports, for example canyoning. Before we arrived in Da Lat, we did some research and found out that canyoning is a big thing here, something I've wanted to try out for a long time. We decided to go canyoning with Da La...

Do you know what we did our last night in Cambodia, to celebrate the one month we had spent there? We had a private dinner by the beach at Chankiri Restaurant.

It was incredible. If you don't believe us, go check out our article about it!

https://www.backpackingfoodies.com/eating-at-chankiri-restaurant-kep-private-dinner-by-the-beach/

Most of you know how much we love food. I mean, we’re called the Backpacking Foodies for a reason. Most of the time we enjoy food from local vendors or cheap, all-vegetarian restaurants. But every now and then, we treat ourselves with something really good. One of those times was at Chankiri Resta...

A couple of days ago we took part in a tour around the rural parts of Can Tho in Vietnam. We met local families and got to try out lots of local food, we visited floating markets and learned how to make vermicelli and rice noodles.

If you're interested in knowing more about what we did and what we got to learn, check out this blog!

We decided to go with a guided tour with Can Tho River Tour, along the Mekong River and through the countryside. We got the opportunity to discover Can Tho for real. The tour exceeded our exp...

Kep was our last destination in Cambodia before heading to Vietnam. Therefore we thought it would be perfect to end our Cambodia-Adventures with staying in a luxury resort – and so we did.

We booked a two-nights stay at Samanea Beach Resort, and it turned out to be really great. Actually, so great that we want to share it with you.

ENJOY! :)

https://www.backpackingfoodies.com/staying-at-samanea-beach-resort-kep/

Kep offers gorgeous nature and relaxation, and not much of a big center, shopping or bars. Because of this we thought it would be perfect to use these days to relax at a nice resort - and so we did. We booked a two-nights stay at Samanea Beach Resort, and it turned out to be better than we could hav...

When we were in Siem Reap, we were lucky enough to get to stay with a local family on the countryside, for a couple of days. Maden, the father of the family, told us his life story and it was heartbreaking, interesting and inspiring all at once. After getting his permission, we decided to retell his story to the world. We're hoping that this will give you, just like it gave us, some important insights on life.

This is Maden. This is Maden. He’s a family man and a business owner. He lives with his family in rural Siem Reap, Cambodia. Born in prison… Maden was born in prison, where his mother was kept, waiting to get executed. The only reason she survived, was because she was pregnant with him. This was...

It's crazy how quickly everything can turn into "normal".

Around one month ago we spent our days working in an office🏢, in a country where cloudy days and rain is almost guaranteed☔. Now our days are filled with white sand beaches🏖️, crystal clear water🏝️, amazing food🥗, coconuts and constant new adventures.

Sometimes we have to remind ourselves and each other that our current everyday life is nothing to take for granted. We love what we're doing and we want to appreciate it every second of every day✨🙌🏾🌟

Hey there, thanks for stopping by!

Have you ever woken up asking yourself “is this all there is?” or thinking “I cannot do this anymore”? That’s what we were asking and telling each other for a very long time.

We work approximately 6 months in Sweden each year to save up money to travel for the remaining 6 months of the year. For us, this is the perfect set up. We get a chance to enjoy Sweden at its best (summer) and be with friends and family, and during the gray and cold half of the year we are out on adventures.

We document all our adventures on instagram (instagram.com/followusbeyond) and on our blog (www.followusbeyond.com). We’d love for you to follow our journey!
