Making your own oat milk has at least three important benefits for you and the planet 1) Buying the cereal grain in bulk saves you money 2) It also saves accumulating highly designed box packaging avoiding landfill 3) You know exactly what you are putting in your body. There are no added ingredients in your homemade milk. No preservatives, emulsifiers and sweeteners. The process is simple: 2 cups cold water, 1/2 cup organic oats. Blend for 30 seconds. Filter through a mesh milk bag. It last up to a week in the fridge. Oats contain: Vitamin E, Zinc, Iron, Selenium, Copper, Magnesium, Sulphur, essential Amino acids. The beauty of Kale 🥬 is that it grows all year round, and it’s chock full of chlorophyll, an immune booster. There are many ways to prepare it, it can be sautéed or steamed, and baked into delicious kale chips. The brilliance of baking kale chips is that it’s a perfect superfood savory snack. It can be prepared and stored for just the right craving moment without consuming any nasty additives, sugars or colorings. It just takes a little olive oil, I love to sprinkle crushed garlic, salt and brewers yeast, or Parmesan cheese, it’s all up to personal taste. Enjoy! 🥬

Strengthening the immune system is vital in this pandemic era. Look to low carbs, fasting and fermented foods to help with rebooting. Detoxing and fasting is a challenge, so make sure you’re well informed, have a supportive environment, and make it a project like any other. Be consistent, patient and write down your progress. I’m on my third week of detoxing, and love the changes I’m experiencing. Such as mental clarity, more energy and flexibility, and weight loss. I’m excited to continue, knowing I’m not just helping and healing myself but also the planet at large. with baked salmon and onion, seaweed, spinach, brown rice, quinoa. My new love affair with Kiwi berries 💚 The tangy flavor includes Kiwi, and reminiscent of pineapple and passionate fruit that explode as they pop in your mouth. I came across them at a farmers market, with the growers explaining their nutritional value high in vitamin B and potassium. Generally organic fruits and vegetables have lots of various nutritional value, so just pop and enjoy the guilt free candy like fruit. Photo recipe: Mango, Kiwi berries, coconut yogurt, chia seeds, golden flax seeds.
