Reminder, the next Ski Club meeting will be at the Leonardtown Grille Wednesday, October 14, at 6:00 P.M. We will be discussing the January Club trip to Sunday River, Maine.

Hi everyone,
Just a reminder that next Sunday the 13th is our annual kick off the season picnic at Jon and Faye Lore’s house. The time is 2:00 PM until… Everyone is asked to bring a snack or dish to share and of course wine if you desire. The club will supply the chicken.

ALSO, Thank you Kim for all your work on the Breckenridge trip. If you want to go on the trip, please be prepared to make a deposit at the picnic. A decision will be made as to if the trip is going to go or not at the picnic. If you want to go and can’t be at the picnic then please contact me on my cell phone at 301-904-9574 and we can make arrangements.

From Lexington Park, go north on MD 235 to the traffic light at San Souci Plaza and turn right on Millstone Landing Road.
From California/Leonardtown/Hollywood go south on MD 235 to the traffic light at San Souci Plaza and turn left on Millstone Landing Road. Follow Millstone Landing and turn left on Green Holly Road (3rd street). Follow to the last house on the right, #22314.

Reminder, first Ski Club meeting of the season will be at the Leonardtown Grille this Wednesday, August 12, at 6:00 P.M. We will be discussing the January Club trip to Sunday River, Maine. We will also discuss the upcoming season and whether we have enough interest in a ski trip out west.

HEY ALL! We are heading down to the St. Mary's Beer Fest next Saturday June 20TH ! Meet Dan and Kim Spencer at noon in the Farmers Market parking lot off 235, south of Gate 3. We will caravan down from there. Please let us know by Thursday night if you want to caravan cause if not, we'll head down later and meet you at the Beer Fest. Call our cell # once you get there so we can all hook up. See you next Saturday!!

GOING WALKING TOMORROW
Ok we are walking at Oak Ridge Park tomorrow at 9. To get there follow 235 north. After you pass the Route 6 light, about 1/2 mile you come to a light where the subway is located and you turn left at this light. Follow this road staying right at stop sign. The park will on the left. We park near the back. Sue

GOING BIKING TOMORROW
We will be biking tomorrow since if I remember right this is the last day for Nancy before she leaves. Since she probably will be doing a lot of walking that is why I chose biking. We will do the northern trail at the Senior Center meeting at 9. Any questions feel free to ask. Sue

NO WALK TOMORROW, BUT BIKING IS A GO ON THURSDAY
It is saying 63% chance of rain tomorrow so I say that doing anything is off. So we will bike on Thursday at Laurel Grove/ John Baggett park. It is about 1/2 mile on the left going north after passing the light for 247. See you at 9. Sue

WALK TOMORROW AT CALVERT CLIFFS AT 9:00 A.M.
ok tomorrow is looking good for a walk. so since I haven't heard from anyone about another place to walk it is Calvert Cliffs at 9. To get there you go over bridge to Calvert County and follow route 4 about 4-5 miles. There is a sign for the Cliffs it is a right hand turn. If you would rather meet outside the library in Solomon's and ride up together let me know and we will meet there at 8:40. Sue

OK, BIKING IS ON FOR TOMORROW
Meeting at northern senior center at 9. It is located in Mechanicsville. You take the first left after the route 6 light. There are signs that say cool springs and veteran’s home. This road comes to a T, take a right and about 1/8 mile on right you will see the senior center it is set back from the road.

HIKING TOMORROW, TUESDAY MARCH 31 AND BIKING ON THURSDAY, APRIL 2
We hike at Myrtle Point and on Thursday we bike. Will meet at 9:00 a.m. If you don't know where Myrtle Point is, it is off Route 4 going towards the bridge to Calvert County. Turn left at the traffic light once you get off route 235 going north. Follow the road to the end. You will see a little building but go through the gate and park in the park. Just a reminder, please RSVP, but if you say you are going to meet us and something comes up and you can’t make it please text or call me at 240-298-3477 so we don't wait for you. Don’t forget, this Thursday is our very first Happy Hour from 5 to 6PM !! We’ll be meeting at 5pm at The Rex in downtown Leonardtown, on the square. Ski conditions at Sunday River Maine were great today and we skied into the black hole. After about 20 minutes, we found our way out.
