How to give turkeys their meds 🤣
Leonard and Luna are struggling with their hips at the moment , a problem most older turkey's encounter (they are bred for meat and are too heavy for their joints in the long run)
These pills help them feel more comfortable

We are taking on new Sunday volunteers at the sanctuary, if you are keen, please get in touch.
We are looking for people who have been here before ,and are on board with our vegan ethos, ideally with experience with animals.
It's not a one off day, we could use folks who can commit to at least a Sunday a month.

Little Alice spends a fair bit of the day at the Hut whether it's just being cleaned or folk are staying.
She loves being held and petted and will usually nod off. ❤

want to rent the hut? here are the basics:

*all profits go to the upkeep of the animals*

-the whole hut is £65 per night
-check in is from 3pm, check out for 10am
-sleeps 3, one double bed, one fold out settee
-self catering; sink, kettle, microwave, toaster and mini fridge
-own toilet and shower in separate hut
-running water and electricity
-no wifi, but good 4G
-outside picnic table
-fire pit (must bring own wood)
-parking next to hut

The hut is on the grounds of an animal sanctuary, in a secluded spot on the edge. Access to the sanctuary is by guided tour, we will show you around the animals at 4.30pm for an hour or so.

The sanctuary is in the Clyde Valley, the nearest train station is Carluke, from there it's a short taxi ride.

If you'd like to book, let us know which dates you'd like, and we will check availability and get back to you.
We ask for a £25 deposit to secure the booking once we've got you a date
