This time of the year the greatest wildlife show on earth takes place in the northern Serengeti, when thousands upon thousands of Wildebeest cross the Mara river. Lemala Camps and Lodges have TWO lodges that put you in the perfect position to witness this spectacle. Hamerkop House by Lemala is a very special property. The team here are absolutely fantastic! The guest leaving the review perfectly sums up what Hamerkop is all about. It is also the perfect way to end a safari trip. Time to relax and just "breathe" after the safari adventure, before flying home (safari is hard work you know!) π

We had a long journey to land in Kilimanjaro, then dealt with the craziness of immigration and car journey, but from the moment we got to Hamerkop we knew this was something special. The team were so lovely and welcoming. It didn't feel like a hotel, it felt like you were being welcomed into a family. All the staff were exceptional , especially Moi and Mesuli the chef (his food is fantastic). They entertained us with fun and stories in the evening. It was truly special. Something rare. The news that Africa has finally been added to the βgreenβ list has been extremely well received by consumers and travel trade alike. It is wonderful that we are now able to explore and experience the magic of Africa again, but more than that, tourists are once again able to actively support the local communities and wildlife!
