Had a chance to see Diego Rivera mural at the Palacio de Bellas Artes today. This mural was originally intended to be in the lobby of Rockefeller Center. Nelson Rockefeller hired a communist (Rivera) to paint the mural and then took offense to the politics in the mural. He wanted Rivera to take out Lenin and Diego refused. So Rockefeller had the mural destroyed. The Mexican government then asked Rivera to recreate it. The mural is divided into two sides—one side is capitalist and the other side is communism. Take some time to look closely. There is so much in the work.

We loved seeing a festival in Bhutan. For 300 years, dancers have been telling stories during the Talo Tshechu Festival. It is a delight to witness. This is part of the stag dance. Talo is on top of a mountain (Bhutanese call this a hill) at 2,800 meters (about 9,000 feet). #visitbhutan @tourismbhutan #talo #punakha
