1️⃣ If you do not book with us, we legally cannot 🚫give advice on a trip we did not plan.

2️⃣ Did you know that when you book yourself through another source (orbitz, bookit, Costco, etc) other than directly with a travel advisor, you are giving the already built in commission 💰back to that company instead of supporting local and/or a Small Business Owner?

3️⃣ Booking with the above mentioned discounted sources also provides you ZERO support or personalization AND you are the one missing out on your vacation because you have to spend hours trying to resolve any issues that arise or you’re disappointed that the pictures don’t match reality. Booking with a Travel Advisor means you have an advocate on your side if issues arise and takes the time to understand your desires, and you can be enjoying a cocktail 🍹 on the beach while we sit in our office handling the issues. Why settle for ordinary when you can have extraordinary?

Have you heard?? After 50+ years Southwest Airlines will be changing their open seating policy and start assigning seats 💺 based on customer feedback they’ve received over the years.

Personally, I love the open seat policy and my 4 complimentary upgrades to boarding positions A1-15 per year. It’ll be interesting to see how this actually plays out and what assigned seating will look like for this airline.

What are your thoughts about this policy change that Southwest has been known for?

You may have heard due to Microsoft and Crowdstrike outage worldwide, all planes ✈️ were grounded…. Except for…. Southwest Airlines

Their outdated systems that crippled them a year or so ago around the holidays, is the same system kept them up and flying yesterday. 🤣🤣

But on a real note…. This outage made traveling a nightmare yesterday and will probably feel the ripple for a few more days as they get the systems up and running again.

At United Travel, LLC our top priority is making clients feel well taken care of. While our clients that were reveling beat this outage by less than 24 hours, we are still actively monitoring the situation and staying informed with the latest updates.

When you’re on your own, dealing with these unexpected issues can be overwhelming and time consuming. But with us on your side, you have an expert and advocate on your side to provide real-time updates and provide guidance on how to navigate the complexities with you.

Have you heard there’s a hurricane 🌀 already brewing in the Caribbean??

Hurricane Beryl is predicted to be as strong as a category 4 when it hits land, threatening the Lesser Antilles like St. Lucia, Barbados, and Grenada. The future of the storm after early this week is still unknown.

While hurricane season is 🗓️ June - November, a storm this strong this early in the season is typically unheard of. Due to the very warm ocean temps 🌡️ , this year is predicted to be one of the busiest hurricane seasons in history.

💡 Here are some top things you should know as we head into hurricane season when it comes to travel:

🌀 Even if you’re not traveling to an area impacted by a storm, flights throughout the entire system can be interrupted.

🌀 People over vacations! People live in these areas and while they know how to prepare for them it doesn’t make them any less scary or life threatening.

🌀 Booking your trip with a travel advisor will make navigating your options less stressful as they monitor these situations and already have your plan B and C ready to go.

🌀 Travel with a credit card that has a minimum of $10k available credit so that you have quick access to funds for flight changes and hotels. You should always have this while traveling in case of emergencies, but particularly important during hurricane season.

🌀 Purchasing travel insurance can make all the difference! Just like any insurance it can feel like such a pain or even waste of money, but you sure will be glad you have it, if you need it. Travel insurance has the possibility of reimbursing you the last minute purchases like new airfare, hotels, etc to get you out of harms way or to switch up your plans due to trip interruptions. Please contact your travel insurance provider for more details.
