We have some very sad new to share with you all.

Colours of Cluny – Scotland’s most northerly sound and light show in Forres – won’t return in 2018.

Organisers Forres Features Community Interest Company – a not-for-profit organisation where any surpluses are invested locally or in the following year’s event – made the difficult decision after meeting to discuss the future of the event.

Despite two highly successful years, with the local hospitality and tourist sector seeing a raft of positive benefits, the show was unable to generate the revenue necessary to secure its long-term future.

Lost something on your visit to Colours of Cluny this year? As well as a wide variety of woolly hats and single gloves, organisers have found a pair of small (child's) blue spectacles which they’d like to reunite with their owner. Everything has been handed into Forres Police Office, Victoria Road, Forres, IV36 3BN. Tel. 01786 289070.

Love this!

Thank you to Tanya Boothman for sending us this lovely picture, her sister in law has been working up at the colours of cluny lights festival in Scotland for the past 4 weeks and sent me this picture of her turning the woods purple! Stunning!

We are delighted to say that the surplus merchandise from this year's show including glow sticks and foam sticks have now been distributed to all the local primary schools including the sensory unit at Applegrove School.

Once again, many thanks to everyone who came to see our show this year.

Well, that's all folks!
We just want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone involved in Colours of Cluny 2017.
Especially to everyone who bought a ticket … and to our army of 80+ volunteers who gave up their time completely free to help make this community event such a success.
Hopefully we'll be welcoming you all back next year!

As we enter the last weekend of the show here is some info on what to expect when you get here...

Catering
We are delighted to advise that just before the area tickets are checked we have an exciting coffee bar serving hot and cold drinks as well as a delicious selection of cakes / muffins and tray bakes.
As you go up the hill, about half way, you will find the marshmallow pit where you can toast your marshmallows over an open pit. The big questions is… will last year’s record of 20,000 marshmallows being sold, be broken this year?
At the top of the hill, not far from the tower, you can enjoy hot food and drink, whilst enjoying the spectacular sound and light show and live fire performance.

Merchandise
A great selection of goods which complement the show will be on sale just before you pass the ticket inspection area.
We will be offering, at very reasonable prices, flashing foam sticks, necklaces and glow sticks and many other exciting items.

Restaurants
Forres has great restaurants and cafés and many of these are listed under LOCAL AREA on www.coloursofcluny.com.
We’ll be very busy this weekend so suggest your telephone the restaurant of your choice and make a booking

Taking place in their new plant market, there will be over 25 local craft food and drink stalls all showcasing a range of wonderful gift opportunities.

Visitors should spend at least half an hour at Nelson’s Tower which comes alive in an incredible live fire and light show.
Once the fountains at the base of the tower start shooting flames, it’s time for a stilt-walking, rope-swinging, fire juggling extravaganza.
The live show runs every 20 minutes and is so good that you'll want to watch it again and again!

Alternatively, pop up to the ticket booth on site while the show is on - all lost property will be kept on site there while the show is running.
