Hidden Gem

Those of you who know us know we love to travel. We recently went to the Finger Lakes for a weekend visit. Nestled in the town of Penn Yan is Trimmer House Bed and Breakfast a hidden gem. This historic home has some of the best hosts out there. Mary and Vic were beyond hospitable. The rooms were impeccably clean. The home is a few blocks away from Penn Yan, walking distance. It is close to the outlet trail as well. It is a Short distance from Keuka Lake wine trail and a 20-30 minute drive to Seneca wine trail. Breakfast is included and is the best we have had from any B and B around. Suzy out does herself daily with amazing meals.

Did you know we help you plan the most magical cruise’s ?

We recently cruised on the Disney Wish. I am here to give you our experience to help you decide if a cruise is right for you.

Disney cruise is the way to go if you want a less overwhelming Disney experience. It is all inclusive and everything is on the ship!!

We started our stay at a Disney hotel which made the experience that much more magical. We took a bus from our resort to the port. This allowed us to get a higher boarding which let us on earlier.

Magic starts as soon as you board. Your family is introduced individually and you get a wand for the magical wish ceremony.

Crowds - I never once felt crowded on the ship. There is so much to do that people are spread out.

Motion sickness - my son and I get very motion sick. We were absolutely fine on the ship. The most I felt was when we left port but I acclimated quickly

Shows - broadway shows are available most nights depending on how many days your cruise is. If you can’t make it to the actual show it is available on tv as well.

Activities - there is so much to do on the ship. Different activities for all ages. You will have something to if you want. They had multiple movie theaters with current movies playing. We saw inside out 2

Food- Themed dining is available nightly if you want. We attended all of them and they were so fun. They kept our kids entertained during the meal and were interactive. Our favorite was the frozen dining. There is also a buffet style meal for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There are some quick service options in the afternoon until late night. Endless ice cream. Mickey bars from room service whenever you want. We had lots of options to choose from and everyone was happy with the food.

Characters - meet and greets are available all day long. You do have to make reservations for the royal gathering with the princesses but don’t worry if you miss it. Meet and greets are also available at various times with the princesses as well.

Kids club- they offer different kids clubs for different age groups. Under 3 you have to schedule and pay for. 3 and above are included. My daughter spent most of her time at kids club per her request. She had so much fun. They planned activities, scavenger hunts, characters come to play with them. She met lots of new friends and had a blast. Kids club is even offered on Disney private Castaway Cay island.

Pools - the pools are small but able to swim in them. They have water slides which were very fun. A splash pad was available for children 6 and under.

Themed night- we had a pirate night which was loads of fun. We all dressed up. There was a pirate stage show with characters and a dance party. At the end of the night fireworks off the ship !!
