Robotics Team Open House
FRC Robotics Team 1557 (12 Volt Bolt) invites all area high school students, parents, teachers, professionals, and potential mentors to attend an annual Open House at their clubhouse in Eustis on Thursday, 8/17. Those interested in joining the team will have an opportunity to view videos of previous competitions, see a robot in action, talk with team members and mentors, see how a team works and have fun with like-minded students and mentors. Building robots is only one aspect of what the team has to offer since FIRST Robotics provides hands-on experience in graphic arts, public relations, web design, computer programming, team spirit, marketing and mechanical and electrical engineering. There are also team volunteering opportunities that can be accrued toward Bright Futures community service time. There is something for everyone on a robotics team! This team, though based in Eustis, does have members from Leesburg, Clermont, Mount Dora, Tavares and from other Central FL counties; and is open to all High School students - public, private and/or homeschooled.
The Open House will be held Thursday, August 18, 2017 at 211 N. Grove St. in Eustis from 6-8pm.
