The Bald eagle is widely distributed throughout British Columbia, especially along the coast, and in inland regions with lots of lakeshore habitats.

Bald eagles are a very important part of the environment. By eating dead animal matter, they help with nature's clean-up process! They’re also hunters, so they keep animal populations strong by killing weak, old, and slower animals, leaving only the healthiest to survive.

Learn more about them and their importance on one of our wildlife tracking trips!

All marmots are protected under the BC Wildlife Act, and Vancouver Island marmots are also protected under the Species at Risk Act. Learn more about marmots and their habitat on one of our many conservation trips!

This helps us to identify what we can do to improve the habitat quality to increase the newborn survival rate. Check out our conservation special trips or volunteer projects to learn more about it.
