The Coco themed restaurant on the new Disney Treasure has been a highlight for us! The theming is on point, and the dinner time entertainment brings to life some of my fave moments from the movie. You get to enjoy this venue on two nights of your cruise, with a different menu and show both nights.

Yesterday the Disney Treasure made a stop in Tortola BVI and we seized the opportunity to explore The Baths at Virgin Gorda! What a truly special and unique place! From the breathtakingly beautiful Devil’s Bay Beach, to the thrilling experience of walking and wading through The Caves, it was a day that will forever be etched in our memories! I highly recommend that you add a visit here to your bucket list if you ever find yourself in Tortola!

Have you heard of the new Cake Bake Shop at Disney’s Boardwalk? It opened a few months ago to much uproar about the price of a slice of cake….$22.99 to be exact. Well, I knew I had to give it a try - figuring it would probably be a one and done. No ma’am! It was delightful and delicious from start to finish, and that slice of Red Velvet cake was worth every cent (and is the perfect size for sharing!) Atmosphere was fun and felt special, the service was top notch, the food was yummy (but would have liked it to be hotter), and there’s literally edible pixie dust on almost everything! Wewill definitely go back!

Our final day in Basel, and the last of our Christmas markets. I was able to procure 2 more mugs and we have somehow squirrelled them all away amongst our clothes, for the journey home tomorrow. Fingers crossed they all make it in one piece. We enjoyed one last fondue lunch in the cutest little chalet set up in the market….thankfully, we also did lots of walking to hopefully burn off some of the calories we’ve eaten!! Basel is wonderful!!❤️🇨🇭

We are now in Switzerland, and a visit to Lucerne was on the agenda today - it did not disappoint! First we ascended 7000 ft by two gondola systems to the peak of Mt Pilatus where we were treated to spectacular views and sunshiny weather. Wow! Well worth a visit if you’re in the area. Afterwards, we went into the old town and had the BEST fondue lunch. Sooooo good!!! Finally, we walked off our lunch walking around and visiting the small Christmas market before journeying on to Basel where our boat is docked for the night. Tauck had a chocolate extravaganza set up in the lounge this evening after dinner, so that was a yummy treat. Sadly, our river cruise ends in the morning, but we still have until Saturday to explore Basel and visit their Christmas markets, which many say are some of the best in Europe.

Ahhhh, Strasbourg! How do I love thee? A whole lot!! Such a gorgeous city, full of French flair and all decked out for the holidays. The Notre Dame Cathedral was stunning and the Christmas Markets were plentiful. Came back to the ship for the evening’s festivities and Santa himself announced the winners of the Gingerbread House competition, which was voted on by all the guests on board in a secret ballot. And guess who won?…we did!!! Woohoo 😂

If it’s Christmas Spirit you’re lacking, get yourself on a river cruise through Europe and I promise you will soon be filled with Christmas cheer!! We spent a festive day in Baden Baden, and it was truly delightful. Definitely on my list of places i’d like to return to! Perhaps I’ll get to try out their famous spas which have healing waters!

Last night, our ship hosted a fun Gingerbread House decorating contest. This morning, we enjoyed a leisurely cruise along the picturesque Rhine, admiring charming towns and castles. Upon docking in Rüdesheim this afternoon, we visited an extraordinary music box museum, which was truly fascinating…we loved it! This was followed by a sampling of Rüdesheim's renowned coffee and a gondola ride up the mountain, offering breathtaking views of the city and river. Fortunately, the weather was sunny making for great photos. We also explored the Christmas Markets, indulging in glüewein and purchasing mugs, as well as savoring local delicacies. This evening, we participated in a tree trimming party on board, complete with festive photos and yummy desserts. Overall, it was a jam-packed and memorable day!
