Our story
TheGreatEscape.Travel is a tailored travel boutique that specialises in putting together exceptional, boundary-pushing trips in Portugal. Centred around the belief that people need to make the most of their precious time-off and TheGreatEscape.Travel takes pride in arranging unique and personalised experiences that reflect this. The business started of the desire of João Caetano, former Time Out Portugal Art Director, amongst other publications, who left the corporate world to spend his days working on what he loves – travel. João, has been fortunate in his previous jobs, travelling to the United States of America, France, England, Spain, Brasil, Hungary, Switzerland, China, Japan, Hong Kong, Macau, Czech Republic… and everywhere in Portugal. Out of these experiences and a love for travel, the idea for TheGreatEscape.Travel was born.
