What to do in Athens? 🇬🇷✨
1-The Acropolis 🏛️
Set on what is known as the Sacred Rock, this complex is the ultimate symbol of Ancient Greek culture.
2-The National Garden 🌾🌳🌺🌵🌿
known as The Garden of Amalia, in homage to the queen who commissioned it – is full of rare kinds of flora and fauna.
3- Vouliagmeni Lake 🏞
This lake is technically just outside the city, but he water maintains the same temperature throughout the year due to a continuous supply from underground thermal springs and canals connecting the lake to the sea.
4-Anafiotika 🏘
Probably the most picturesque part of Athens, this scenic neighbourhood is built into the foothill of the Acropolis.
5- Little KooK 🍰📸🤳
Is mainly a dessert cafe. Each holiday season it’s decorated inside and outside the restaurant.his is probably the most Instagrammable place in Athens besides the Acropolis!
6-The Museum of Cycladic Art 🏛
Is home to one of the most complete private collections of Cycladic Art. Most of the artifacts on display are marble pieces including bottles, plates, and standards. This museum in Athens is open Μonday – Wednesday – Friday – Saturday from 10:00 to 17:00, Thursday from 10:00 to 20:00, Sunday from 11:00 to 17:00.
7-The Plaka 🛍
Is a neighborhood located below the Acropolis.Here you can find souvenirs you might want to bring home for your friends and family. Plus, this is a great area for people-watching.
8-Watching the sunset from Lycabettus Hill 🌅🌄
Is one of the best things to do in Athens. Not only is the sunset stunning, but you get amazing views of Athens from here.There is a funicular to take you up and down if you don’t want to climb the hill. The cost for the funicular is €7.50 return or €5 for a one-way ticket.
