Travel Tip
Wrong… the airline can deny boarding if there are more scheduled to fly than available seating.
They’ll go about this process by first asking for volunteers to give up their seats in exchange for some form of compensation.
In the event no one volunteers, the will select certain passengers to deplane. The airline legally can choose whoever they want with an explanation, but these listed factors are amongst the top reasons why you’ll get bumped off.
✈️ You purchased your ticket via 3rd party site.
✈️ You checked in late.
✈️ Your fare cost was lower than others.
✈️ You’re not a frequent flyer.
This is extremely important:
✨✈️✨If your boarding pass was scanned and the gate agent allowed you to board, you can’t be involuntarily removed. You’ve already boarded the plane. Involuntary bumping must occur before takes place. ✨✈️✨
Exceptions to that rule are behavior, safety, security, or health concerns.
