Pom's Thai Kitchen is a beloved Thai food truck in Christchurch, you'll often see her at the Riccarton Market and lucky us, they will be showing up at our Street Food Alley Pop Up!

It's estimated that between 10-30% of all the ordinance dropped by the American forces in Laos landed unexploded. Since the end of the conflict there has been over 20,000 people killed by undetonated cluster bombs, mostly farmers and rural people who hit them with agricultural equipment.
The COPE visitor center in Vientiane helps survivors of these explosions by providing prosthetic limbs and physio therapy, amongst other things.
I hope our donation to their efforts will make someone's life at least a bit better.

It is possible to travel through time --- at least backwards.
We found a little wood fired pizza place that brewed their own ginger beer. One sip brought back memories of the brew mum would make for the shearers.
It transported me from the hot and sweaty streets of the old quarter in Chang Mai to a rural farm in Canterbury.
Food is a powerful tool, use it wisely.
