Re-opening later tis month: Singita Ebony Lodge.
Singita Ebony Lodge, in the Sabi Sand Nature Reserve, is where the Singita story began 30 years ago. The lodge was recently closed for a few months to accommodate a refresh that includes changes to the architectural layout and an exciting update of the interiors.
The changes at Ebony reflect the needs of the modern traveller, looking for less-is-more with a focus on being as close to nature as possible.

Apart from its classic beauty and crisp crystal-clear waters, Beach Atlas praised Boulders for offering more than just a pretty picture: picturesque views, cute waddling penguins, cultural diversity, clear blue waters and, of course, its abundance of trees and boulders providing shade and entertainment for locals and tourists alike. The ancient granite boulders protect Boulders Beach from the wind and large waves, making it an ideal swimming spot for kids. The beach is always clean and safe, because it falls under the Table Mountain National Park Marine Protected Area. Everyone is always delighted by the stunning rockpools.

South Africa's Three Ships Whisky wins world's best at World Whiskies Awards in the UK. 🥃
Three Ships Whisky was crowned 'World's Best' at the 2024 World Whiskies Awards (WWA) in London last week. South Africa's very own whisky stole the spotlight, claiming the esteemed title of 'World's Best Blended Limited Release' for its 12-Year-Old Double Wood expression.
This news comes off the back of the earlier announcement that no less than four South African whiskies had been named Category Winners and now we are represented on the world stage once more as taste-making whisky leaders.

Xigera Safari Lodge - visited by Vicky earlier last year - is located in the Moremi Game Reserve with private access to a 4, 500-hectare (11 120-acre) wetland paradise in the heart of the Delta on one of the Okavango’s key waterways. The area is known for remarkable mammal sightings including red lechwe, spotted-necked otter, elephant, buffalo, reedbuck and tsessebe Predators include lion, spotted hyaena and leopard.

Last weekend we had the most amazing Otter 🦦 experience where we were literally swimming with this cute and so inquisitive creature in the river mouth. Cape clawless otters (also known as African clawless otters) are most often elusive, shy and secretive – but every now and then they allow you a glimpse into their going-abouts! This little guy (or girl) was so curious yet cautious - following hubby and disappearing again the minute he (or she) felt shy ☺️
We are so blessed to have experienced this in the beautiful Cape

Our incredible beaches, mountains, views and vineyards are a must see. Join the party at Camps Bay Beach, where the bars are loud but the landscapes are gorgeous, or trek up Lion’s Head for the best views in town.
