I'm going to use today's Microsoft meltdown as a teaching moment. This is the exact reason we advise you to fly in the day before your cruise departs. This is the exact reason we tell you to check in for your flights EARLY. When we say two hours for domestic, and 3 hours for an international flight, it's to give you time to adjust if there are flight issues such as an FAA-mandated ground stop or any other unforeseen event. This was not just an airline issue, it was an IT issue that affected so many businesses. Please be nice and show grace to all you see today. Everyone has been affected in some way. And always have travel protection to help when the unexpected arises!

The Real ID will become mandatory on May 7, 2025 for domestic travel. To clear up any confusion, you will still need a passport to travel internationally! The Real ID is for domestic travel. ✈️🚄🇺🇸

This is pretty accurate. I try to minimize travel when my clients are traveling so I am accessible and I have a back-up contact when I am out of town. However, I take my computer with me and I do end up working some. I have a very patient husband. 😊 🧳✈️💻

We are grateful for the sacrifices in Normandy, and around the world, that protected our democracy and our way of life. Clients of mine who have gone to see this hallowed ground always tell me it was their favorite part of their trip, as well as the most meaningful. It really touched me to find out how the local citizens and children put flowers on the graves to this day. They still remember and appreciate the sacrifices of our Armed Forces, as well as those of our allies. And so should we.

There are several ads and posts on social media now telling you that you can be a travel agent and earn free travel! The truth? It takes years (almost 25 in my case) of hard work to get to the point where suppliers value your relationship and invite you to experience their product. Years of workshops and courses and years of participation in research trips, often with miles and miles of walking in the heat to learn what resorts will work for your clients---and what won't. Get the facts before believing everything you see online.

Over 80% of travel advisors are women. I have been so fortunate to get to know so many wonderful, intelligent women in this industry. Many of the upper level executives at cruise lines and resorts are truly impressive women and, just yesterday, a United flight took off with a female pilot, co-pilot, and an entirely female crew, completely by accident. It won't be unusual in the coming years. I am proud to be in an industry that values our opinions, our knowledge, and our place at the table.
