The arrival of Tariq bin Ziyad to Andalusia occured in Ramadan of the year 92 Hijriah.
After entering the ships, with those who accompanied him, he fell asleep, and in his dream he saw Rasulullah SAW, and around him those who marched with him from Mecca to Medina (the Muhajirin) and those who defended him (the Ansar), with swords girded and bows bandolier, "Go ahead with your duty!"
And Tariq saw Rasulullah SAW and his companions in dream until they entered Andalusia, considering it a good omen and giving good luck to his companions.

| GIRALDA TOWER aka. LA GIRALDA |
Although the original mosque was destroyed to be rebuilt as a cathedral, the original minaret of the mosque survived to become most iconic symbol in Seville, attached to the Cathedral.
Underwent three historical stages:
- The first picture on the left is the original Almohad minaret circa 1198 with 76 meters tall originally.
- The next picture to the right is how it looked as Christian bell tower circa 1400, after the metal spheres that originally topped the tower fell during 1356 earthquake and replaced with a cross and bell.
- And the last picture on the right is the current appearance after 1568 and it brings the height of the tower to 96 meters.

WA LA GALIBA ILLA ALLAH
There is no conqueror but Allah.
The Alhambra Palace is full of calligraphic decoration, cursive and kufic inscripted on the walls, columns, even window frames.
But the most inscripted one more than 9000 times is wa la galiba illa Allah.
Interested to know what is the story behind it? 😃

This phrase is an attitude of submission to the divine design and in a call to the defense of Islam by Muhammad I when he was called al-galib (the conqueror), he replied: wa-la galiba illa Allah (there is no conqueror but Allah) which later became his honorary title al galib bi-Llah (the Victor by [the grace of] Allah), with which he would be acclaimed in Granada in May 1238 and would be recorded in his epitaph and will also designate the dynasty itself: al-Galibiyya.
As for the stamping of the motto, it will soon appear and be teransferred to official documentation, court objects and mural calligraphy.

GIRALDA TOWER
Or La Giralda is the bell tower of Seville Cathedral.
It was built as the minaret for the Great Mosque of Seville in Andalusia during the reign of the Almohad dynasty.
This tower is 104.1 meters (342 ft), so tall that in the past, the muazzin would ride a horse to reach the top of the tower to make azan!
Can you imagine that? 😃

This May 23rd 2022 there will be a departure for spring season before Ramadan.

The Architectural-Calligraphic Staging of Surat al-Mulk in the Alhambra’s Comares Hall
A calligraphic band formulating the entire surat al-Mulk adorns the square basis of the Comares Hall’s domed ceiling in the Nasrid Palace of the Alhambra, Granada.
The primal intention of inscribing this particular surat on the walls of the audience room was as a reminder that as grand as the Nasrid dynasty may present itself to the world, as Muslims they remain the humble servants of Allah.

Also written on the ceilings are the words:
“He who created seven heavens, one above the other; you will find no discord in the creation of the Merciful One”
The patterns in the ceiling are believed to reflect the seven heavens since they are seven stars and galaxies that can be made out from the ceiling.

Nasrid Palace, Alhambra
Lafadz Allah and the phrase tawheed are beautifully sculpted on every walls, columns, beams, even windows.

Alhambra is not only beautiful to see from inside, but also beautifully looms in the distance.
There are various spots to view the Alhambra in Granada.
Here are the best views of the Alhambra:
- Mirador de San Nicolas, it's the most well-known to have the best views of the Alhambra and also the best sunset spots in Granada;
- Sacromonte, also offers some of the best views of the Alhambra;
- Paseo de los Tristes, this walkway follows part of Río Darro through Granada with numerous restaurants, perfect for enjoying the view;
- Mirador San Miguel Alto, the highest overlook in Granada and a great alternative sunset spot that offers unparalleled views of the Alhambra;
- Mezquita Mayor de Granada, it has similar view as Mirador de San Nicolas, but with more intimate space and beautiful garden of our lovely mosque, my favorite spot to be honest 😉
There are some more spots to view the Alhambra, including from Albaicin neighborhood that will too many to be mentioned here.

| Al-Isra’ wal-Mi’raj |
Took place during a time when the Prophet (saw) was facing intense hardship and pain.
The Prophet (saw) had just faced the Year of Sorrow (’Aam al-Huzn), during which he (saw) lost his beloved wife Khadijah (ra), and his uncle Abu Talib, who was his protector and ally.
The people of Ta’if had rejected him in the most cruel way.
One of the most important lessons of Al-Isra’ wal-Mi’raj, therefore, is that ‘with every hardship [there will be] ease’ (The Noble Qur’an, 94: 5).
