As a Paso Robles native, Don Burns gained valuable experience as the assistant winemaker for Saxum Winery before establishing himself as the head winemaker and owner of Turtle Rock Vineyards.
With a profound passion for winemaking, Don infuses his expertise and creativity into every bottle produced at Turtle Rock. Known for his meticulous craftsmanship and commitment to showcasing the terroir of Paso Robles, Don has received acclaim for his exceptional wines, notably his 2019 G2 Syrah, awarded a perfect 100-point score by Jeb Dunnuck.
We are excited and grateful to have Don as our river cruise host, along with Kit Kuyper of Hawks Hill Ranch Winery & Juan Mercado of RIISE Wine. They will be sharing their delicious wines and expertise. This party on the Rhone is sure to be an experience of a lifetime!
