My all-time favorite resort at Walt Disney World is The Grand Floridian! From the moment I first walked through its doors as a kid, I was captivated by its timeless elegance and high-society charm. It's a place where Disney magic meets luxury! A few highlights include:

🍽️Dining: Enjoy fan favorites like 1900 Park Fare and Grand Floridian Cafe; lounges like Enchanted Rose; fine dining like Victoria & Alberts (one of two restaurants in Walt Disney World that currently holds a Michelin Star) and Narcoossee’s. So many options!

📍Location: The proximity to Magic Kingdom is amazing with options to walk, ride the monorail, or take a water launch

🎹Atmosphere: The lobby, even though it’s in an ongoing renovation, is jaw dropping with high ceilings, floral arrangements, plush furniture, and sometimes live music!

🎄Seasonal Offerings: Christmas and Easter displays bring in folks from other resorts, day guests, and locals. You'll be in awe of the life-size Gingerbread House and ornate Easter eggs!

🥀 Beauty and the Beast 🥀 but instead of singing teapots 🫖, you'll find signature cocktails 🍸 in an elegant setting. Perfect for adults who enjoy a touch of Disney magic while undwinding in a sophisticated, serene space - ideal for quiet conversations and relaxation.

I decided to splurge on the signature cocktail "The Rose" and was not disappointed. Not only is the presentation amazing, but the taste was truly enchanting!

The first ever Disney Cruise Line Ship to sail out of Asia: the Disney Adventure! It will feature a lot of new to Disney Cruise Line spaces including a roller coaster at sea!

It is sailing out of Singapore starting December 15, 2025. Booking opens December 10, 2024 with more info coming on dates and pricing November 14.

🌪️🌧️⚡️Cruising during hurricane season will give you the lowest prices, but there’s a reason for that. If this is the best time of year for you and your crew, here are a few helpful tips:

📅 Hurricane season officially goes from June through November. If you are considering August, September, and October, just know you are likely looking at the highest possibility of weather issues. Sailings out of Florida to the Caribbean will be the sailings most impacted.

🛡️GET TRAVEL PROTECTION! just do it - no matter when you sail

✈️ Book flights early in the day for less chance of cancellations or delays. Also arrive at least one day before embarkation day, just in case flights get canceled.

🌊Go with the flow! Cruise lines don’t like to cancel sailings, so they will do all they can to avoid that including changing itineraries to avoid weather issues. When I worked for Disney Cruise Line during Hurricane Matthew, our 3 day cruise ended up as a 7 day cruise over to Cozumel to avoid the hurricane altogether!

I think I'm the most excited about a new nighttime parade for Walt Disney World! I've been wanting a nighttime parade on either coast ever since Paint the Night stopped running at Disneyland.
