We just returned from Mexico and had some eye opening conversations with hospitality professionals at the resorts. We are often asked how much to tip at resorts and while it is a personal choice, we thought you might find this article informative. It gives some perspective on how much the service workers make PER DAY, not per hour. Minimum wage in Mexico is set per day and workers put in long hours.

We are sooo excited about the overwater bungalows at the brand new Royalton Antigua. This resort just opened two weeks ago! We always recommend waiting at least six months for all the kinks to be worked out at a new resort. However, if you have a forgiving nature, you can get some grand opening steals and deals by booking in the early months!
