Ahhh.... I'M SO EXCITED FOR THIS SUMMER! It will be that time of year again soon where conditions are perfect for getting wet in the water and having fun practicing and learning new skills and building confidence through fun engaging experiences. To kick it off right, we are starting the class season off with an on-land class. This class will be PACKED with information on making you a better paddler and understanding the reasoning/physics behind one of your greatest frustrations: paddling in wind!
Our first class/workshop is now accepting reservations:

A seated land-based class for paddlers to gain the know-how for planning and executing trips in tides, currents and winds. Justin has extensive knowledge and experience, forecasting, adapting, mitigating, and working with dynamic environmental conditions involving tides, currents, waves and winds.

PART 12- THE FINAL CHAPTER: Waccamaw River Through paddle series: Justin Summerall

I take my final paddle out to the ocean. Collected a few memoir shells and it was time to say goodbye to North Island and make my way to the take out. I was greeted by my wife and close friends cheering me on as I approached the dock.

WACCAMAW RIVER THROUGH PADDLE SERIES: Justin Summerall
Part 8: I'm reminded of one of my most humiliating moments as a trip leader. I barely escape the clutches of the Conway Railway Bridge and make it to camp at Pitch Landing.

Pitch landing was the best and worst of the nights along the trail. My body is adjusting and bouncing back well after a rough start to the expedition....

Part 7: Waccamaw River Through Paddle Series
A beautiful night with my son, Kyle. An early to rise morning and I finally figured out what was wrong with my body. I begin treating the symptoms and things improve drastically. It would be 35 miles (give or take) to my next campsite. The worst and best campsite I had along the way.

I reached my campsite for the evening and continued to struggle with stomach cramping, then things took a "downhill" turn...

My first blockage was a doozy! No warm ups, just right into the thick of it. read it here:

Finally, the start of the journey! This is probably part of the most juicy parts of the early on portion of the trip- The beginning. I'm forced to go under through and around new and old fallen trees....
