SOCIAL IMPACT: We have hosted mentoring programs or social impact days - as we now call them - in Ghana, South Africa, and Kenya. Since the summer of 2020, we have transitioned to also hosting our mentoring programs virtually for girls from all over Africa to connect with those of the Diaspora. We will continue launching new destinations as we travel with Girls Trip Tours.

Every experience booked with Girls Trip Tours funds both the social impact day taking place during your trip and a Girls MAP scholar. We also accept rolling contributions to our scholarship fund for those interested in investing in a young girl’s future remotely.

One of my favourite things about Girls Trip Tours is the women who host us during the experiences. From women in business, royalty, talented creatives to revolutionary change-makers, our experience is shaped by these women, their stories, and the time we share exploring their locale from their perspectives.

Firstly, we would like to say a big thank you for being a part of the Girls Trip Tours community and engaging with us all through 2021. We know it’s been quiet due to the pandemic, but we
officially launched our non-profit: Girls MAP Foundation Inc, to support our educational and entrepreneurial programming alongside our Forbes featured travel experience!
We also had the opportunity to travel to Kenya in September 2021 to plan our next experience along the Swahili Coast. In case you missed it, we’ve created a travel guide to help you explore Kenya from coast to coast.

So whether you are just looking for wanderlust content, want to travel solo this year, plan a fun girls trip with friends or join us for hassle-free travel on our next group trip, we hope you find this guide useful - especially the pandemic-proof travel tips. We have found that traveling between waves and during off-peak tourist seasons to destinations where hotel common areas, restaurants, and activities are primarily outdoors has worked well for those in our community.

Stay safe and stay tuned for more travel content in 2022! *How do you feel about travel this year?*

Nothing beats philanthropic initiatives for us by us. We don't take more than we give. We support our girls as we wish someone had supported us when we were their age. We speak to them as we wish someone had spoken to our younger selves; with grace, patience, and kindness. We tell them the things we wish we could have told our younger selves.

If hurt people, hurt people. Then, maybe healed people can heal people - just by showing up as their full selves. Ready and willing to do more than was done for them. Ready to be more than they think themselves capable.

On every Girls Trip, we show up, we listen, we learn, we love, we give, and we receive. Our presence speaks to our intention and our intention is to be a living example, a blueprint, an embodiment of a dream realized. We show up as the many examples of what is possible for our girls.

Our giving retreats are PHASE 1 of our goal to decolonize philanthropy. On each Girls Trip Tour, through our giving retreats, we planted the seed. Now, we have a registered non-profit and can't wait to share how we grow our social mission from here and connect the Girls Trip Tours (for-profit) community to the Girls MAP Foundation Inc (non-profit).

We are taking our Girls MAP mentoring program virtual this July!

In the last few months, the global COVID-19 pandemic has reshaped the future of the tourism industry and has forced me to be more creative about how I sustain our mission empower women and communities through travel.

The goal of Girls Trip has always been to leverage my network of travellers to empower the next generation. So I have designed the ultimate virtual summer experience that I wished I had as a teenager.

🤯 Intro to Data Science, Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence
🤑Personal Finances and Wealth Building

All facilitated by next-level mentors and guest speakers. Applications close June 19th. Percentage of fund goes to our Africa programming. Tag a parent in the comments! DM if interested in mentoring virtually or a scholarship.

2019 was an amazing year of growth for . I doubled-down on my passion for women empowerment and travel and proved this concept. I took big swings, I made mistakes, I learned from them, I improved my approach.
One thing for sure is I always gave my best, even when I wasn’t sure it would be enough. On experience, all our reviews since we launched have been 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. That’s not to say it was all perfect, but I’m glad that the women who travelled with us walked away with a transformative experience - from the unique locations to the mentoring day and all the little details in between.
In 2020, says we’re going to dominate, and we agree!! Our Zambia (with ) and Lagos trips are filling fast, so hold your spot and if you had FOMO from the , book Ghana 🇬🇭. Thanks to the women who’ve traveled with us, those who’ve supported on the ground, and all the girls who show up for our mentoring days. @ Forbes
