So many travel questions and not nearly enough time in the day scour Google to answer them all — am I right or am I right? 👇

❓Which hotel or resort rooms get the best light in the morning?

❓And what about the junior suite? Is it actually a decent size, or is it worth the upgrade to a full suite?

❓And what about the renovations? Have all of the rooms in the hotel been updated, or are some still dated and old?

❓Does the balcony of your room overlook the noisy pool, or is it tucked away in a quiet part of the resort?

These are all questions you may be asking yourself about the resort you’re considering for your trip to Cancun, and the answers will be tricky to find in a Google search.

But you will find those answers with me, a trusted travel planner who makes it a point to know the hotels and resorts I recommend like the back of my hand. And if I don't now (because there are literally thousands of resorts in Cancun) then I have the connections in destination to find the accurate answer for you.

Have you ever read or seen something online that didn't turn out to be 100% true? Uhhh, yeah, and it sucks!

These types of things can totally make or break a travel experience! So when you’re ready to have a travel expert in your corner looking out for your travel plans, send me a DM or submit the Plan My Trip form to get started!

The older we get, the more precious time spent with our favorite people becomes.

This is reason enough to champion a girls’ trip or a getaway with your siblings.

Get away from the daily routine and have some fun with the people who make you ugly laugh (and cry).

Whether it’s a milestone birthday, bachelorette party or a just-because vacation, a getaway with friends is so much more fun!

April is flying by, isn’t it?

But hey, what a ride it‘s been! Feeling major gratitude for my awesome clients I got to plan with this past month.

Here’s what I’ve been up to:

This month I got to curate a dreamy escape for clients jetting off to Costa Rica, Barcelona, and of course lots of Mexico trips!

And oh, the excitement of finalizing those last-minute details for my clients heading to The DR for a family reunion next month!

But hold on, can we shine a spotlight on my fantastic client gearing up for a the wellness retreat she is hosting in Riviera Maya next winter?! She has been hard at work putting together the personal touches on what the retreat will look like while I finalized the group hotel contract and now are almost ready to launch! You're not going to want to miss it ;)

Today, I'm creating proposals and group quotes for an incentive group. It's a great day!

What are you waiting for?! Send me a DM to get started planning your next group or international getaway!

Let me share an insider travel tip with you:

Crafting a truly memorable trip requires not just going with the flow but truly taking a personalized approach to things.

When I‘m faced with a sea of activity options for client itineraries, I always think back to our initial discussions, where you give me the full scoop on your interests, travel style, and past adventures.

Maybe you‘re into nature.
Or maybe you’re an art lover.
Or maybe you just love to find the best spots to take pictures.

I’m cataloging all of this for future travel ideas.

Each activity contributes to the overall vibe of your trip.

So, take a moment to visualize the kind of experiences you want to have.

This is valuable information for me. It guides me in curating the perfect itinerary with moments that really resonate with your interests.

And if we haven’t had the pleasure of working together yet, take this list of things you’ve visualized and use it to keep yourself laser-focused as you plan your trip — the internet has a way of pulling even the best traveler in sooo many directions.

Hope you find this travel tip handy!

If you‘re ready to plan your next escape or have any questions, I‘m just a call or DM away.

Close your eyes and picture yourself wandering the streets of Barcelona...🌆
Imagine the sights.
The sounds.
The delicious cuisine.

Ok, back to reality!

One of my favorite clients will be heading to Barcelona to celebrate her sons high school graduation in a few months.

I couldn‘t resist sharing a sneak peek into the itinerary I’ve been crafting for them.

Here‘s a glimpse:

They‘ll be staying at the Alexandra Barcelona, carefully chosen for its location, style, and the fact that three adults can be easily accommodated.

My client is big on history, cuisine, and culture so their itinerary includes some tailored experiences like visitng Sagrada Familia, Park Guell, a Tapas & Wine food tour, and a half day trip outside of the city to experience Montserrat.

Is Barcelona on your list of places to visit this year?

My DM‘s are always open for your questions.

Feeling stuck in a cycle of ‘someday‘ when it comes to your travel wishlist?

Let me remind you that a vacation is more than just a getaway.

➡️ It‘s a chance for you to reset and an act of self-care

➡️ A chance to learn new things about yourself and the world

➡️ It‘s REAL quality time with the people who mean the most to you.

Don’t let it be the thing that keeps getting filed away for later.

Whether it‘s a tropical escape to relax, getting back in touch with the outdoors, or a cozy low-key escape somewhere off the beaten path, I’m here to make the planning a breeze for you.

Let‘s make it happen — link in bio to book a complimentary planning call with me.

The review below from my client, Anisa, who recently returned from a family trip to Cancun was too long to post in the grid, but this specific sentence was what got me- and I want all potential clients to focus on.
Still wondering if working with a travel advisor is the right decision for you? Read below for some insight.

"Everything was absolutely perfect and seamless and wonderful! It really felt like a wondrous dream that I didn’t want to wake up from.
It all started with me not feeling ANY stress regarding our flight, the hotel we booked and our ride to and from the airport. Those are all things that low-key stressed me out when planning trips before.

The resort was absolutely perfect for our family!! From the daily mango on a stick by the pool to a variety of restaurant options nightly and our favorite - ice cream from the Pasteleria anytime we wanted - the whole families‘ culinary tastes were satisfied and surpassed.
And it was really lovely having access to the the club lounge!

The beach options this resort provided were perfect! Warm, crystal clear beautiful water and minimal waves made for a picturesque first visit.

As I’m writing this email to you I am noticing that “perfect” is the word that I am using most often. And everything being so perfect added to the trip feeling even more like a dream ☺️ But it was real life and incredible and I experienced it - and it provided the recharge I needed to make it through these next few busy months!

Thank you for help planning this trip for my family! Your services are invaluable!!

In gratitude and appreciation,
Anisa"

The travel side of Instagram can be a little bit deceptive.

Everyone’s always taking these fabulous trips, but how do you decide what will be a good trip for you with so much information out there on the ‘gram?

Take my client, for example. They were scrolling through their feed, stumbled on a hotel a friend had booked, and were interested in booking for their family vacation in Rome

I checked it out right away. 🔎

Almost immediately I realized this property wouldn’t be a good fit for my client, simply due to the size of their family. You see, this family is 5 adult travelers because their three kids are 17 and older. While the hotel they selected was nice and in a great location, it can't actually accommodate 5 adults in one room.
BUT- you know who allowed them to make a booking for 5 adults? Booking.com. Yep!
The hotel website doesn't even show the room category booking.com gave them, and the max adults per room allowed is 3. So what would have happened if they booked that hotel through booking and showed up at the hotel...booked in a room category they don't even have?! Disaster waiting to happen.

I took that property as a starting point and ended up recommending another hotel that had some of the good elements of the property my client found, but also included a few more of the things I knew it was lacking - included a smaller, more authentic Italian vibe located near the city center, but away from the constant hustle and bustle of popular attractions.

All this is to say, take what you see in your feeds as inspo, but always do the research to make sure the destinations and hotels you find will fit your unique travel needs.

Or even better, start by using a travel advisor an save yourself all that time and headache.

I'm here when you're ready !

Hey Foodies 👋 How can you make sure you don‘t miss out on the best food spots on your next big trip?

It will all come down to a few key factors:

➡️ What comes to mind when you think of a great food experience?

Is it indulging in gourmet meals? Exploring local cuisine? Or are you more of a hands-on person who would love to learn how to cook traditional dishes? Decide what you like so you can prioritize it in your itinerary.

➡️ How long is your trip?

Do you have lots of time to explore, or just a few days? Depending on how long you‘ll be at your destination, you‘ll want to make room for the best recommendations but leave space to stumble upon spots that may not be on Google.

➡️ Have you consulted anyone else?

Some of the best spots are found through word-of-mouth. They may not have thousands of reviews on google, but we have all been to at least one incredible "hole in the wall" restaurant.
Ask friends and family who have been to the destination for a recommendation, and as your advisor I always ask my contacts in the destination for some recs as well.

Find this helpful? Follow for more travel tips and tidbits and when you’re ready send me a message and let‘s start planning your culinary adventure.

The way we travel is changing.

People will always love a good beach vacation. We all have busy lives and sometimes it is just what we need to rest and relax in the sun (with a good SPF, of course)
But this year, I've gotten more and more requests for these types of trips:

✨ Immersive experiences. Travelers really want to see, explore, and experience the local culture of the country they have chosen. These trips are the opposite of R&R!

✨ Transformative Retreats — Trips designed around self-reflection, gathering with your community, and experiencing a new way to recharge.

✨ Astro-tourism: Watching the stars in a clear night sky or chasing the northern lights.

I love that travel is becoming more unique and personalized. People are setting the intention for their travels then looking for experiences and destinations that will fit what they truly want.

If you’re interested in unique trips and personalized travel planning, you’re in the right place. Send me a message so we can chat about your travel goals and how we can bring them to fruition.

Part of the fun of my job is staying on top of all the travel trends and inspiration I can pass on to my clients.

And here’s one I wanted to pass on to all of you:

Right now Costa Rica is trending. I mean...everyone wants to go to Costa Rica this year.

Why? Costa Rica has risen in popularity over the past few years and it seems like this year tourism has just skyrocketed.
With everything from beaches, mountains, rainforests, and volacanos around Costa Rica, this is certainly a destination for every kind of traveler.

I am lucky enough to work directly with a wonderful contact who lives and works in Costa Rica. Is there any better resource than a local who just happens to be in the tourism industry? I think not.
Working with her means our recommendations for hotels, tours, and transfers and vetted and well reviewed by our clients.

Is Costa Rica on your list this year? I'd suggest booking sooner rather than later as availability and pricing is increasing due to popularity in the destination this year (PS- Travel + Leisure name CR the Destination Of The Year of 2024)

If you're interested in traveling to Costa Rica send me a DM or fill out the Plan My Trip form in my bio to get started!

There’s truly nothing worse than having a trip de-railed by a bad hotel experience.

So how do I do my best to make sure clients are satisfied with the places they stay?

1️⃣ I get to know what your travel preferences are, what you like, what’s your top priority are when you travel, etc.

2️⃣ I take note of the resorts you’ve loved in the past and the resorts you haven’t loved so much — this gives me a great place to start.

3️⃣ I stay up-to-date on the new resort and hotel openings I and I’m constantly taking notes when properties open that are a great fit for specific clients. When they’re ready to travel, I already have a list started.

If you’re down the internet rabbit hole right now trying to book a hotel stay or a trip, I may be able to help. Send me a DM or use the link in my bio. Let’s get you booked somewhere you’ll love.

Breaking out the confetti and popping the champs for my next corporate group going to Puerto Vallarta today!

On the agenda:
Work hard, play harder!

This group of 63 adults will arrive to their beautiful beach front hotel, all with ocean view rooms!

They have a private welcome dinner scheduled on night one, and a full day of meetings the following day (Sometimes it just has to happen!)

The next day the whole group is scheduled for a private Taco Truck food tour! They'll experience a 3 hour walking tour to 7 different taco stands or restaurants.
Sounds like a good bonding experience to me :)

The rest of the trip is vacation time to reward them for reaching their goals in 2023. I'll say it over and over again- a trip is the BEST way to incentivize and rewards your employees!

There is a private farewell dinner on the last night and that's a wrap until next year!

When you hire me for your group trips, here is what you can expect me to handle for you:

Hotel room blocks
Airport transportation
Private dinners
Meeting space reservations
Local activity or excursions planned
And 24/7 assistance during travel.

I do all the work so you don't have to!

Happy International Women's Day!

I've always been a big believer in community over competition, especially in a work environment. There is a place at the table for everyone.

I've been fortunate enough to be raised by and around strong, confident, and capable women who have continuously rooted for me to success.

I wouldn't be where I am today without their belief in my and encouragement.

I'm here to tell you- Follow your dreams. And then dream bigger. You were made for greatness and I believe you will find it.

Happy day to all my girls out there.

You've hired me to plan your vacation so all you have to do it pack! Sorry that I can't help you with that part, but I can give you my best packing do's and don'ts for a beach vacation.

Packing for an international beach vacation...

Here are 3 things I always travel with and immediately regret not packing when I forget them and 3 things I bring that never see the light of day while I’m traveling.

My list of must-haves
A portable sound machine. Sometimes those hotel floors are loud and this gal likes to go to bed early. My sound machine is small and does the perfect job of drowning out any outside noise.

Sunscreen. We all need sunscreen (If you don't use it, start now and your future self will thank you) Even though I'm a carry on only, I buy one or two TSA approved bottles and fill them with sunscreen because if you wait to buy it at the resort it's going to cost you 4x as much as at Target.

Travel size coffee creamer. I know this one seems silly but I have had so many people thank me for telling them this! I buy a box of 1 oz French Vanilla creamer pods and pack them in a Tupperware. A little taste of home (aka comfort) to start my morning in a new place.

My list of things to skip:

Expensive sunglasses. The amount of times these get lost is unbelievable. I had a cheap pair of travel only sunglasses.

Too many nice shoes. You're on a beach vacation. No sense in bringing 10 pairs of heels.

A bad attitude. This one is actually just a reminder to leave your bad attitude at home. The amount of times I have seen adults yell at staff members at the two all inclusive resorts I have stayed at in the last month is astounding.
Yes, you paid to be there. That doesn't mean you get to treat people like crap because you think they should cater to you.
Just be a nice person and realize how hard these people are working while you enjoy doing nothing.

What’s on your list of must-haves, and things you always pack but never use?

Raise your hand if you’ve been designated the unofficial travel planner for your next group getaway.

Now it’s your job to coordinate with everyone, consider all of the members of your group, what they’ll like and what they won’t like, and whether they’ll enjoy the accommodations and experiences you’re planning.

Or you can pass the baton over to me to worry about all of the above.

Hi, I’m Brittney, and I’ve been planning group travel for 5 years. I'm the travel pro you want to hand it all over to so you can relax knowing you're being well taken care of.

It’ll take a huge weight off your shoulders by heading to the link in my bio and booking a call to chat about the group getaway you have in mind.

I’m in your feed because….

You’re contemplating booking a trip, but you may not know yet how much better your trips can be when you have an experienced travel advisor in your corner.

✈️ Someone to help you personally curate your vacation

🥂 Someone to delegate all of the research and planning to so there’s no stress or time wasted.

🎉 An actual phone number to call when you need something, not just a 1-800 number

🍹 Someone who calls ahead to the hotel or resort to make sure you’re treated like the VIP that you are (The people at that 1-800 number would never!)

☀️ Someone that’s here every single step of the way who knows you and your travel preferences and can make dynamic suggestions.

If the above sounds like your cup of tea, let’s chat. It’s as simple as a filling out my Plan My Trip form, to tell me about your trip.

Can't wait to hear from you!

View from my balcony at Fiesta Americana Condesa 🌊

We spent 4 amazing nights at the property and I didn’t want to leave. Just look how gorgeous it is!

A few of the things I loved most:

🌮The excellent food and service
☀️The location of the resort, but specifically our room (did I mention the balcony view??)
🏐The daily and nights activities
🤿The large infinity pool, and small water park for the kids

Rates at Fiesta Americana start at $250 per person, per night for an all inclusive stay and deserves your consideration if you’re headed to Cancun for a family vacation.

Have questions about this resort or traveling to Cancun with your kids? I’m a seasoned traveler with toddlers and would love to help! Send me a DM or submit the trip planning form linked in my bio.

THIS ♥️

Corporate trips are a labor of love. And I mean that sincerely.

Planning travel for 60+ people from all over the US does not happen easily.

There is a lot of strategic planning, research, contract negotiations, proposals prepared, time spent, and a lot of nervous energy on travel days.

But when I see clients tag me on Instagram, send me thank you emails, or send reviews like this- it makes me feel all the feels.

I love working with corporate groups. And I am so fortunate that corporate groups love working with me!

If you’re not using a travel agent or meeting planner for your corporate trips- you have no idea how much of your own time you’re wasting and what you’re missing out on.

Does a review like this make you want to give it a shot? DM if you’re interested in working together to plan your next group trip!

I literally breathe a sigh of relief every time a client makes it to the airport, boards their flight, and is officially on the way.

But what happens if you do miss your flight?

1️⃣ First, if you’re headed to the airport and you’re pretty sure you won’t make your flight, contact the airline en route to let them know. They may even be able to start making arrangements for a new flight.

2️⃣ When you arrive, make a beeline for the airline’s customer service desk — they’re your best allies for getting booked onto another flight.

3️⃣ Get in touch with your travel advisor so I can re-arrange your airport transfers and call the hotel to let them know you’re arriving later so you don’t risk getting bumped in an overbooking situation, or getting stuck with the worst room.

When travel plans hang in the balance, it’s a must to have support and someone to help smooth things over.

Have you ever missed a flight? I certainly have- those early morning flights are just not for me! Share with me in the comments.

Picking a resort for your vacation isn’t as simple as a list of results from a search engine and an algorithm. Let me explain!

It just doesn’t account for the extra intel you’re going to want when deciding on a resort, hotel or experience.

Things like…

🌅 Which rooms have the best sunset view?

⬆️ Which resort is worth the upgrade to the suite or club level, and which one isn’t?

❤️ Knowing which resort has staff that go above and beyond to make your experience great
🏨 Which resort or hotel is looking a bit dated, but you wouldn’t know from the photos online because they’re 7 years old.

🏖️ If you’re looking for a quick vacation and these things don’t matter to you, you can roll the dice online.

But if you want a higher guarantee that the trip you book and the resort you pick will deliver, you’re going to want a reliable source you can trust.

That’s me! 👋 Hi, I’m Brittney, and I help couples, families, and groups not only book vacations but avoid travel disappointment.

When you’re ready to chat about travel, send me a DM or fill out the travel inquiry form at the link in my bio to tell me more about the trip you’re looking to plan.

Last week I had an interesting question come up when I was talking with a new client.

She’s been planning trips all on her own for years and was always under the impression that if she booked her trips with a travel agent, it would automatically be more expensive.

And sometimes I’m so caught up in my travel planning bubble working with my clients that I forget not everyone knows what a travel advisor can do for them.

Things like…

Save you time by doing the planning and coordinating for you because the time you’ll spend DIYing it all is worth something.

And honestly so much more.

But the real thing I want to address here is the fact that my client felt nervous to reach out because she didn’t know if she could afford to work with me.

And I want you all to know that there is absolutely no pressure when reaching out to inquire about a trip — if I can help and work within your budget, then great. If not, that’s okay too!

All this is to say, don’t hesitate to get in touch. I’m here to help and open to any questions you have about working with me!

Travel is all about discovering new destinations and experiencing different cultures.

As a travel advisor, I have the opportunity to explore unique and amazing places around the world.

Today, I wanted to share with you a few of my favorite destinations that I‘ve been fortunate enough to visit.

If you‘re looking for some travel inspiration, make sure to bookmark this post! 📌

Cayman Islands!

The Cayman Islands are made up of three islands- Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac, and Little Cayman.

Grand Cayman is where most travelers stay as it is the largest and has the most hotel options. And when I say largest, I mean 22 miles long! It is a small island with so much to offer and you can actually see it all! Add a day trip to Brac or Little Cayman, or plan your full stay there if you're a diver!

Besides the white sand beaches and crystal clear waters, the cuisine is another thing I love about Grand Cayman. There are very very few all inclusive properties on island because the restaurants are not to be missed! The island is clean and safe and the locals are so friendly!

Most people know about Stingray City (Yes, I did swim with stingrays!) but a lesser known activity is the Cayman Crystal Caves. When you want to escape the sun, go under ground for a 1.5 hour guided cave excursion.

Kimpton SeaFire, Marriott Grand Cayman, and The Westin were a few of my favorite resorts I was able to see and I had a lovely stay at the Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman.

There really is not one thing I didn't love about the island.

This is one of my favorite Caribbean destinations, and I cannot wait to go back. Have you ever considered a stay on Grand Cayman? Is it on your list now?! Let me help get you there and to experience the islands the right way.

Hello!

I’m Brittney- travel enthusiast, coffee addict, and founder of Avery Travel Group. I’ve been in the travel industry for 8 years and am so excited about this next chapter. Being a travel advisor over the last few years has taught me so much and I’ve developed such a love for this industry. It’s busy and complex and constantly changing, but those are just a few of the things that draws me in. Every day is something new and exciting!

I am so excited to be on this journey and glad you are here too! If you have any questions about our services, what it really means to use a travel advisor, or just want to say hello please contact me at [email protected]

Thanks for stopping by, and happy travels!
