The Town sends a big thank you to the volunteers who cleaned our Ipswich Visitor Center in preparation for the 2023 season!

When guests pop by the Ipswich Visitor Center and ask what’s great about Ipswich, we can always include our Ipswich youth!

Description:Zoom presentation 1.5 hrs. In Ipswich, the Meeting House Green neighborhood was a hotbed of anti-slavery sentiment. A network of the Underground Railroad ran north along the coast from Boston to Marblehead, Salem, Beverly, and Danvers, splitting into three trails, one continuing through Ipswich and Newburyport into New Hampshire. Ipswich town historian Gordon Harris takes us through the timeline of events on the national and local levels that culminated in the Civil War and the Emancipation Proclamation.

Come spend an evening and enjoy a well done short movie produced by Mike Savoie about the good old days in Ipswich. See how a group of people spent their weekends chasing the cars and stars at the local auto racing tracks. The Ipswichy v8ers are a group of lifelong friends who grew up in town and remain friends to this day. This friday night at the Take-out terrace on the Riverwalk , all part of the island ipswich weekend ,come reminisce and hear stories from the glory days of local Ipswich Racers and their friends. The movie starts at 8pm and Local True North brewery have been invited with their Taptruck. Come and Enjoy !!

Egrets Only are back on May 22nd, Downtown on the Riverwalk at the Take-Out-Terrace, part of the "I Love Ipswich Weekend." 12:30 May Pole followed by some Contra Dancing! We can't wait to dance together! LGBTQ+ and straight, all ages, all families, all types of dancers, all worldviews, and all levels of mobility-friendly.

Riders purchase no higher than a Zone 3 Monthly pass for April.
