To all our friends and past surfers.. we are running some free lessons at The Farm, Killalea State Park tomorrow from at 10am and 12:30pm for the start of our winter sessions!! 10am is for The Groms (5-12yrs) and 12:30pm is for our teens and anyone else!! No need to have surfed with us before but if you have we would love to see you as well!!

Who's keen for a snow sess this Winter in Oz?

Here's the Aussie Snow Forecast for 2012:

An unspectacular start to the season, but at least it now looks like it will be a bit cooler than normal and not too bad for snow-making.
• The first big 30cm+ storm to occur in late June/early July (assuming the low this weekend doesn't throw up a big surprise).
• Spencer's Creek snow depth to break one metre by mid-to-late July, and to top out at 201cm.
As always it will come down to the random fluctuations of a few big storms that make the difference this winter, but it does look like things may be tipping in our favour.

Our 5 favourite things to do in Portugal:

1. Surfing in Peniche - an amazing surf spot offering Hollow beach breaks , great reef breaks and really fun waves. Great for Learners and Advanced and super consistent all year round.

2. Partying in Bairro Alto - a beautiful suburb in Lisbon which more or less means "high suburb". Its narrow streets seem deserted during the day however at night, the streets come alive as the bars and restaurants open. Grab a Capirinha from one of the bars go drink and party with everyone in the streets!! A great night out!

3. Sintra - Sintra is the place where the Portuguese Royal Family once lived in their ruling time. Now, it is an amazing footprint of history with beautiful gardens and fairytale castles. There's a photo opportunity at every turn!

4. Obidos Medieval Festival - In a small village between Lisbon and the coast lies an amazing festival that celebrates the Medieval Past that is evident there. The town, surrounded by walls and a castle, hosts a 2 week long show of medieval dancing, sword fighting, jousting and complete celebration in the style of the day.

5. Eating Sardinhas - Definitely the best food in Portugal! (close is the pastel di nata) Eating quite simply after salting and Bar-B-Queing on a piece of bread. They take a while to eat but are natural, fresh and delicious. The ritual of standing around the BBQ, drinking Sagres beer and talking with friends also ads something special to this Portuguese Tradition.
