Wrapping up for the year 🎁

I’m so ready for ___ a few cozy nights with the family and friends to watch a good holiday flick/a much-needed breather to recharge and soak in the season.

But before I officially shift into holiday mode, I’m putting the finishing touches on a dream trip to Australia for one of my clients and helping a friend get set for their January escape to the Caribbean.

I’ll be officially back at my desk on Jan 5. 2025 is already shaping up to be a busy travel year for my clients so I’m looking forward to relaxation before things kick off in January.

For now, you’ll find me watching a good action/suspense movie or playing a good brain teaser game to keep my mind sharp..

New year, new adventures, and a bunch of new travel goals!

Goal #1 - I’m making more time for travel! I’m kicking things off with a trip to Jamaica.

Goal #2 - I'm checking one big thing off my travel wish list. Right now I’m debating between Aruba and St. Lucia. It might not be big to some but I've never been to either island, so....

Goal #3 - I want to try some new things! Including a local cooking classes and trying new foods.

A vacation planned by a travel advisor looks a little something like this:

I recently planned a trip for my clients who will be heading off to Fiji

But this is NOT your average trip to Fiji.

Because my clients are really big into hiking and viewing historical museums/temples— they really loved the idea of indulging in the hot spring mud baths and exploring the sand dunes and explore archaeological sites and do some bird watching. They didn't want to have the entire vacation packed with activities, so they opted for 4 well thought out excursions during their 14 day vacation.

Now, if hiking or sand dunes aren't your thing, there’s so much more to do and see in Fiji.

Including a coupe of my favorite things such as ziplining through the rainforest and of course trying local cuisine.

Now, whether it’s Fiji or somewhere else like Bali or Dubai, having everything tailored to your needs really is the way to go.

You know that moment when you think of the perfect thing to say but it’s too late because the moment has passed? It’s the worst.

That’s why when an acquaintance at happy hour brought up the fact that they didn’t understand why people use travel advisors because they had recently planned their own trip online.

I was so happy that I got the opportunity to speak up and point out the 20 hours this person could have saved herself/himself by letting a travel advisor do the research and book the trip—this person is super busy with his/her career and kids!

What I didn’t point out is that by booking their hotel on that 3rd party travel website, they left tons of perks on the table, including late check-out and a possible room upgrade.

And if they need to make changes to their flights, they’ll likely be passed from one customer service person to another.

I’m a military vet and have traveled all over the world serving my country. You should live your best life while you can. I’m the owner of Joyful Travelz, serving as an Independent Travel Agent. I want to assist those that may not have the time to research travel locations/options or those that aren’t familiar with booking for themselves. I want to put your mind at ease by doing the work for you and you select which option works for you and we go from there.

I would like to tell you a little about myself. I’m from Lambert, MS, a very small town in what’s known as “the Delta.” It’s not too far from from Memphis, TN. I’m the youngest child and was always curios about what was beyond the small town where I grew up. I have a very large family and we love to have get together’s reminiscing about our younger days. I truly enjoy those fellowship times with them. I love my family.

Joining the military was one of the best decisions that I could’ve made for my future. I served in many roles from Squad leader to Platoon Sergeant. Some of my best specialty assignments were where I served as a Drill Sergeant at Fort Leonard Wood (FLW), MO and later as a Drill Sergeant Leader at Fort Benning, GA. Those were among my most rewarding positions that I performed while serving my country. I would have to say that it was indeed an honor and privilege to have served under President George W. Busch and President Barack Obama, traveling all over the world in support of the mission. I enjoyed the good and the bad, now that I can reflect back on it. I know that it molded me into the woman that I am today. I truly have met some amazing women and men that are brothers and sisters to me along my career while serving. We will always have each others back, a true bond of love and respect.

I’ve always loved to travel. Again, I want to ease the burden of researching for you and finding the perfect vacation/getaway for you. I’m certainly not a magician, but I can make you smile by doing the “HARD RESEARCH” for you.
