I love what I do.
As a travel agent, I get to help you plan a wonderful vacation and as your partner, I can guide you through questions with confidence so you don’t have to wade into the abyss of online misinformation. You get the best deals, unique experiences and my services never cost you a dime. That’s not the important part.
When things hit the fan, you still have that partner, you have an advocate. THAT is the important part.
Before any restaurants shut down, before anyone was identified as ‘essential’, before face masks, before government support, there was apprehension and nervousness.
When some destinations and suppliers were unreachable…we got answers, we got refunds, we got future travel credits, we managed. Together. Our team is available and in touch.
This virus has taken our income because we get paid when a guest travels. There hasn’t been any travel for over a month and it’s unlikely we’ll see any travel in the next month or more. But that doesn’t mean we’re not making plans for the future and for next year, and it certainly doesn’t mean that we’re quitting. Those in my business have never worked so hard to lose money – because fighting for our guests is the right thing to do.
I would simply ask that the next time you’re traveling, you see the value in having an advocate. A trusted person who’s operating a small business that you help by booking with them instead of clicking “purchase” on a website that will leave you hanging if anything ever goes wrong.
