Dear Non-Malayali friends, Please listen, take a couple of minutes and read.

We are in need of HELP.

Kerala is reeling from one of its worst flooding disasters in its history.
The death toll rises to 40 as six people lose their lives in the last 12 hours.

Red Alert sounded in all 14 districts of the state, Hilly districts Wayanad and Idukky have been cut-off from the rest of the state due to landslides on the ghat roads .

Shutters of 33 Dams (of 39 )have been opened, including that of Mullapperiyar, of which the control is wrested with the TN Government.

41 Rivers (out of 44) are overflowing well past the red mark. Cochin International Airport has been closed till 2 PM, 18 November as the runway has been engulfed.

Your favorite summer destination, the lush green Munnar has been submerged. KSRTC and Railway have cancelled many of the bus and train services.

Hundreds of houses and establishments across the state have been submerged already. Roads and bridges are either broken or swallowed up by the flood water.

Nearly Ten thousand people were shifted to rehabilitation camps. Hundreds of people left their hard earned properties and took refuge at safer places with their relatives.

The entire system is fighting back under the efficient leadership of our Chief Minister. Keeping all differences aside, the congress lead opposition is working in complete harmony with the Government which is a rare expression of the true spirit of democracy and good governance.

We salute all the kind hearted people who extended love and support. Vishnu, a migrant worker from Maharashtra making a living by selling blankets in Kerala, walked into a relief camp and handed over all the fifty blankets he had. We bow our head and salute him.

Film star Kamal Hassan contributed 25 lakhs to Chief Minister's relief fund. Tamil actors Karthi and Soorya donated 25 lakhs and Vijay TV also promised an amount of 25 lakhs. These are only a few names from the list of many who promised a hand to Kerala.
So far, the loss is estimated as 8000 Cr (till yesterday) and the state requested the centre to sanction 1220 Cr as an immediate relief. But the centre offered just 100 Cr in response to this request. I hope you can see how we have been treated by the Central Government. The Sangh Parivar is using this opportunity to spread hate against Kerala as well. They discourage people from contributing to Chief Minister's Distress Relief fund (CMDRF).

Friends, this is the time to act. We are in need of your help. Please contribute generously to the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF). The calamities we are fighting is manifolded. Apart from the flood, we have to fight the callous attitude of the Central Government and abhorrence being spread by the Sangh Parivar.

All contributions towards CMDRF(Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund) are exempt from Income Tax under section 80(G). Donations now accepted through UPI mobile app like BHIM, Paytm, Tez, Phonepe also.

Stok Kangri, Laddakh
Stok Kangri is one of the most strenuous trekking summits in India. You being one of the crazy backpackers, who seek to capture the cascade of mountain ranges atop from a lofty height of 6,153 meters then you can't escape the Stok Kangri trek. Well, the alpine trek in the Ladakh region is every trekker's dream but only few people are able to undertake the challenge. It is one of the high altitude treks in India that requires some serious acclimatization. No doubt, the Stok Kangri trek also offers a beautiful journey through the countryside that is dotted with several small villages, cattle farms and colourful meadows crisscrossed by small gushing streams. In contrast, the undulated terrain, jagged ridges, coloured layers of peaks and deep canyons throughout the trek seem to be another breathtaking part of the journey.
The Stok Kangri trek commences from Leh, which is at an elevation of 3,500 meters. After an acclimatization of a day or two the journey drives via Alchi to Lamayuru and thereafter the trail begins to ascend gradually over Prinkti La at 3,800 meters and descends to Wanla. During the journey from Leh to Wanla you will be visiting some of the oldest monasteries like the Shey, Hemis, Lamayuru and Alchi. From Wanla the trek to Stok Kangri summit follows through the bank of Yapola River and heads to Hinju via Penjila. From Hinju the trail slowly embarks onto the countryside passing through the Hinju valley followed by a steep climb to Konzke La at 4,950 meters before descending to Sumda. Thereafter, be prepared for some serious uphill and downhill trails till you arrive at Chilling via Dundunchenla. From Chilling, following the Zanskar river upstream, the trail winds to Shingo and thereafter it follows to Yurutse village en route Ganda La at 4,700 meters. After visiting the Rumbak Gompa the trail heads to the base of Stok Kangri over Stok La at 4,900 meters. Now, get ready for the last stretch to climb upto the summit. It takes approximately 10 hours to climb from the base camp. After the Stok Kangri summit expedition the downhill trek follows to Stok and then leads off at Leh.

MUNNAR
Munnar is the most popular hill station in South India and the best tourist place in Kerala. It has a unique views of verdant mountain slopes which are covered with about 80,000 miles of green tea farms like organic bedding over mountains which offer views of low-flying clouds and misty valleys. Munnar is usually cold and relaxed and gives you a incredible sensation, with the dense spray around you in the center of the organic tea farms. Munnar was once the summer season of the erstwhile English and English settlers found that the elevation, slope and alignment of the hills were particularly designed for the farming of tea. The modern end result is the lavish organic mountains decorated by tea gardens which is the sight to look out for in modern Munnar. There are also lot of waterfalls and hiking routes in Munnar for the adventure seeking guests. With its drowsy little bungalows, bungalows, old play areas and tea factories, Munnar is one of those unique hill stations in India with an old world colonial feel to the area.
