Open plan downstairs with lounge/diner and kitchen. The dining table comfortably seats 6. There is a piano which you are welcome to play. Central heating and log burner. Wi-fi. Fully enclosed garden with lawn, patio and decking area. There is off road parking for several cars.
Ashton is a small village between Helston and Penzance. It is 1 mile from the coast, but you can see the sea (just!) from the master bedroom. Praa Sands is just 2 miles away as is the beautiful harbour village of Porthleven, which has several good pubs and restaurants including Rick Stein's. St Michael's Mount is 10 minutes away. Land's End, St Ives and the stunning Lizard Peninsula are all within half an hour's drive, and further afield is the Eden Project. There are many National Trust properties nearby, and we are in the heart of Poldark country. The cottage is set back from the main road, and is therefore quiet and free from traffic noise. The Lion and Lamb pub is about 150yards away. We are 150 yards from the main bus route between Penzance and Falmouth.
The cottage is our home, and has been for nearly 20 years. We work away from home for 8 months of the year, and so would rather the cottage was used and enjoyed, rather than standing empty.
There is a high chair and travel cot which can be made available for you to use at your own risk. There is also a washing machine and tumble drier for your convenience.
Prices start from £495 per week. Shorter bookings and discounts for under-occupancy may be available out of school holidays.
