It’s World Wish Day! If you ever made a wish at Disney or Universal parks by throwing a coin in one of the many fountains and waterways, I sure hope your wish came true.

But I wonder if you know that your coins help to secure wishes for children in need of extra pixie dust. Both Disney and Universal periodically collect and donate all the coins to children’s charities. ⛲️

Seeing is believing at Disney’s Riviera Resort and the pictures just don’t do this stunning resort justice. Their Deluxe Studios have an incredible amount of space and the design in making the room both functional and gorgeous is just amazing. (You may never want to leave this room!)

As lovely as the rooms are, the resort itself with personal photos from Walt’s European travels and the legendary banana bread at Le Petit Café is going to make you fall even more in love with this special resort. Who else has fallen head over heels in love with the Riviera?

If you really want the experience of snorkeling but are kind of anxious about being in the open water, listen to this! Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa has its own lagoon right on property. Rainbow Reef is a controlled environment with all the beauty of under the sea, without the worries of waves, drifting off or anything that bites.

Even if this experience is still outside of your comfort zone, this is Disney, so they‘ve thought of everything...there is a viewing window so you can view the marine life and even watch your family brave the controlled waters. Here’s a Universal PRO TIP that will make a big splash during your next on-property trip... YOU CAN POOL HOP. All resorts other than the 2 Value hotels (sorry, Endless Summer Surfside and Dockside, but all magic comes as a price) are allowed to pool hop at other resorts.

🗝️ To do this, go to the front desk of the resort you are visiting, show your resort key, and they will give you an amenity key for that property. It’s really that simple.

If you want that free Express Pass (and I think you do), you can usually stay most affordably at Royal Pacific, but feel free to take a short 5 minute walk over to Sapphire Falls and play the day away.

You may be tempted to pass on visiting the Conversation Station because it requires that you take the Wildlife Express train to Rafiki’s Planet Watch. That all may sound time consuming, a little confusing and maybe, dare I say, boring. BUT, you would be missing out on experiencing the literal heartbeat of Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park and making lasting memories. Here, you can actually touch animals at the Affection Section, peek at veterinarians treating animals in exam rooms, watch as nutrition experts prepare meals, get your fill of reptiles and invertebrates, see what Disney scientists are currently working on, ask the experts anything, AND learn how to draw a Disney character. How’s that for edutainment?

1900 Park Fare has FINALLY reopened its doors again for breakfast and dinner buffets with characters! This immensely popular Grand Floridian Resort & Spa restaurant has been closed for more than 4 years. FOUR! And it’s coming back with a new menu with old favorites (🍓hello Strawberry Soup) and a new line up of Disney friends to dine with. Greeting you while you dine will be Tiana, Cinderella, Mirabel and Aladdin at both meals.

You know what people don’t talk about enough when it comes to EPCOT? The steady, always on the clock, live entertainment. The festival concert series is great, but these performers seriously elevate the Disney experience on the daily. Acts like Mariachi Cobre, The Voices of Liberty, Sergio and the Jammitors (just to name a few) with their incredible talent and energy, are able to turn a simple stroll around the park into one of the coolest, most memorable parts of your vacation.

I never get tired of watching Jammitors!

The attractions at EPCOT are stellar, but if I’ve learned anything through my many visits and vacations planned, it’s that often core memories are created from unplanned magic. Who’s your favorite EPCOT performer or ensemble?

We always hear the phrase "April showers", but truthfully it can rain pretty much anytime in Orlando. So we have another and much better saying around here: "a rainy day at Disney is better than a sunny day at work!"

On a rainy day, I am not afraid to whip out my poncho. Especially from PonchEar, so I can wear my Minnie ears!

I have to think Walt Disney would LOVE the details on the Disney Wish cruise ship. If you didn’t know, a bronze statue featuring Cinderella is the ground floor centerpiece of the Grand Hall. She’s beauty, elegance and grace and a popular photo op for just about every guest who passes by. BUT, there’s a whole story happening here if you look closely. What exactly is Lucifer (the cat) hoping to catch? If you walk behind Cinderella, you’ll see her mice friends, Jaq and Gus, hiding under her dress!

I’m just going to say it... f***y packs are the unsung heroes of a Universal Studios vacation. Can’t wrap your head around rockin’ the pack, here’s my top three reasons why you need to change your mind:

1️⃣ Bypass the Lockers: MANY attractions at Universal Studios require that larger bags are put in a locker prior to getting in line. Most, however, allow f***y packs, only three don’t. That’s a big time saver.

2️⃣ Hands Free: Hands free to hold more Butterbeer! No awkward maneuvering needed to access your stuff, just look down my friend, it’s right there.

3️⃣ Forced to Pack Light: With limited space for just the essentials, you’ll have no choice but to leave any “just in case” but totally unnecessary items at home.
