Land crab - Costa Rica 2021.

Land crabs exert a significant influence on tropical coastal forest ecosystems. They are among the major drivers of tree recruitment and they facilitate the development of coastal forests with activities as the excavation of burrows, creation of soil mounds, aeration of soils, removal of leaf litter into burrows and creation of carbon-rich soil microhabitats.

🦥It’s - so for ONLY $5 you can help feed a sloth today!

When you choose to donate $5 on our donation page, your contribution will go directly to our non-profit to provide food for one sloth, for one day.

🌱Because we hand-feed orphaned and rehabilitating sloths daily, we could always use help making sure they’re all eating well and growing strong, so that they can get back to where they belong - in the wild!

🌳Nothing makes us happier than healthy sloths being released back into the wild! On this special , let us tell you the story of Chad!

Chad was rescued by our friends at Alturas Wildlife Sanctuary mid-way through 2019 after his mother was killed by dogs.

🦥He came to TSI weighing a little over 2lbs and immediately flourished after joining us thanks to a steady diet of milk and plenty of delicious leaves.

He grew healthy and strong and was finally released back into the wild where he belongs in July this of year! 🎉

Did you know there are several different ways that you can be a part of helping us rehabilitate and release sloths just like him?
