A history lesson;
Veteran, founder, owner, and operator Dave Black of southern Illinois grew up around steel fabrication and started working in his grandfathers shop at a young age and worked in the family business until the age of 19 when he joined the Army. After leaving the military, and having a new outlook on life and understanding exactly what it meant to be free, David wanted to create so
mething to honor veterans both past and present. " I have always been a proud American since the time I was a child. I went to a little country school where every morning we stood with our hands over our hearts and said The Pledge of Allegiance. My grandfather and great uncle had served in the Korean war. I knew that it was something to be proud of but never could quite comprehend it all until my first tour. I have seen the ugly side of war, and many others have seen far worse than I... I will spend the rest of my life honoring all that have stood and fought for that flag that I first came to love in that little country school of mine." David Black
Where New Meets Old;
Cut from 16ga mild steel on our cnc plasma table, which enables us to customize the text of your flag however you'd like. We then bend the edges of your flag on our break press to give it a desired canvas look which also allows for us to inlay reclaimed wood that gives your flag an amazing rustic look. After flags have been fitted for wood they are painted, cured, and assembled, packaged, and finally shipped. Each flag is approximately 50 inch in length, 27 inches tall, and 1.5 inches thick. Costs vary on design but are generally $300-$400 plus shipping costs. Each flag, custom made to order, is a constant reminder of those who have selflessly served this great nation.
