⚠️ Trigger warning - Pregnancy loss ⚠️

Yesterday was Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day, and honestly, I didn’t have the strength to post at the time. But I know how important it is to talk about how common pregnancy loss is, so I’m sharing my story now, in my own time.

Over the last couple years, I’ve experienced two missed miscarriages and one chemical pregnancy. After my third loss, I developed Asherman’s Syndrome and had to undergo a hysteroscopy to remove scar tissue. 😮‍💨 The pain of these experiences is something that stays with me, but so does the resilience I’ve built along the way.

As I read others’ stories yesterday (thank you to everyone who shared ❤️), I couldn’t help but think about how much miscarriage is still kept in the dark.

We’re told not to share our pregnancies before the 12-week mark, since those early weeks carry the highest risk of loss. But I’ve been asking myself—who is this “rule” really for? Is it to shield us from the heartbreak of discussing a loss, or to spare others from the discomfort of hearing about it? Because when we don’t talk about it, it can feel like pregnancy loss is something that happens in isolation, when in reality, it’s so much more common than we realize.

If this journey has taught me anything, it’s the strength I’ve found in myself, and the gratitude I have for the support around me—especially from Jules, Poppy, and our incredible family and friend who’ve carried me through the hardest moments. You know who you are 🫶

And I want to wish a happy birthday to our angel baby Poppy Goodgirl. 🎂 In a bittersweet coincidence, her birthday falls on the same day as one of our losses, but she truly is the best girl in the world. ❤️

🇹🇭 THAILAND 🇹🇭 This trip to Southeast Asia has been not only a happy return to one of my favorite regions but a return to myself as a person.

I am my most ✨me✨ when I’m traveling. From the moment I started my first solo backpacking trip, I unlocked a side of myself that I’d been missing. A side that I could have only found in Central American chicken buses, hostel dorm rooms and the necessity of 100% self reliance.

This trip has been such a welcome return to that sense of self. Even though I’ve only been actually solo for a few days (the rest of the time I’ve been with friends), I feel my independence and the joy of my own company coming back to me.

Here’s to more moments like this in 2024. 🥂 So much more content coming up from this trip (umm Vietnam is Amazinggggg), so stay tuned.

Special thanks to for holding down the fort while I gallivant around Southeast Asia. As much fun as I’m having I can’t wait to get back to Jules and Poppy ❤️

Ok, what’s the deal with this rain in San Francisco (see our stories). Take us back to the sunny beaches of Rottnest Island in Western Australia ☀️

In all seriousness, it’s great that California is breaking the drought, refilling lakes and reservoirs, as well as dampening vegetation to lessen the impact of forest fires in Summer.

But also… just give us a couple of sunny days. That’s all we ask for lol.

What’s your favorite rainy day activities? 🌧️

Do you ever take photos on your travels and then forget to post them? We do this all the time, which is pretty counter intuitive to our work as ‘travel content creators’, but honestly sometimes we just enjoy the process of capturing moments more than we enjoying sharing them.

We have so many awesome shots that we took in Bali in December, so here’s a couple of Nusa Lembongan sunset shots 🌅 we’ll ‘try’ to post more soon.

Yesterday we hopped on a motorbike and went exploring Nusa Ceningan, a tiny island off the coast of Bali. 🏍️ It felt like our old days backpacking in the best way.

Adventuring on the back roads, finding secret beaches 🏝️ hidden down dirt paths, completely forgetting our responsibilities and basically feeling like the old Christine & Jules. 👫

We don’t share everything here, but we’ve had a pretty tough year on a personal level and it was just so nice to forget our problems and responsibilities for a day and feel like two carefree wild young travelers again. 🎒

Hello southern hemisphere! 🇦🇺We’re baaaaaack! We just spent a lovely week in Western Australia attending a wedding and exploring the stunning beaches. 🏖️

We spent the day cruising around Rottnest island, home of the quokkas made famous by that one Chris Hemsworth selfie.

We spent the day cruising around the island on bikes, stopping at just a few of the beaches (there are 63 on the island!) working up a sweat under that hot Aussie sun ☀️ and jumping in the cold Indian Ocean.

We got our own quokka selfies and then hopped back on the ferry for the airport to Bali, where we are now. ✈️

Wild to be traveling again on this side of the world after all this time, but we’re happy to be back!

What’s fast, stylish and crushing it in San Francisco? Yes, it is this sleek, red Toyota GR86 Premium, but it’s also the Golden State Warriors! Last night Steph Curry dropped 47 points in an awesome comeback win to knock off the Sacramento Kings.

A few weeks ago we had the chance to attend a Warriors home game for the first time at Chase Center. And while they didn’t get the W that night against the Denver Nuggets, we had an awesome time thanks to .

Toyota lent us this GR86 Premium for the week to drive around town and we couldn’t wait to take it up Hawk Will to get some snaps over the NorCal coast. We also drove it to the game and had some Premium seats just 10 rows off the court.

Thanking Toyota not only for our hook up, but also for their amazing support and sponsorship of the Golden State Warriors over the years. Support from sponsors helps teams develop, grow and succeed. And the Warriors success over the last decade speaks volumes to the support they’ve had from everyone both on and off the court.

After a few days of ‘researching’ wineries it was time for us to get more active. And what better way to do that than a 7 mile, 1300ft trek up to Wright Peak, the highest point on Mount Konocti at 4300ft.

All along the trail you get stunning views of Clear Lake, finally finishing on the peak where you get 360 degree views of and the surrounding areas. It’s a fairly strenuous hike up, so be sure to bring plenty of water and slap on a hat and sunscreen.

After building up an appetite we enjoyed some more excellent food at Red’s Skyroom, where you can have lunch just yards away from the regional airstrip. For dinner that night we sampled A LOT of the menu at Saw Shop Public House in Kelseyville… yum!

Accomodation for the night was at Peace and Plenty, where an old Airstream has been renovated into a super cute BnB on this organic farm.

[SAVE this post for stunning Northern California wineries 🍷]

Fancy a glass of wine or two? Head to Lake County to find local wine tasting experiences, where you can share a glass with anyone from the manager or owner, to the winemaker themselves!

With its nutrient rich soil, perfect temperatures and ideal altitude, Lake County is a wine maker's heaven. It’s also got a super friendly, low key vibe in an often stuffy wine industry. We loved getting to explore the vineyards and chat to the people behind the delicious wines we were tasting. Some of our favorite spots over the week included:

🐄 Six Sigma () - this 4300 acre ranch and vineyard brings some amazing meats and wines to Lake County. They host lots of events and have great hiking and biking trails to explore.

🚤 Boatique () - named after an amazing collection of antique boats on display, this winery has stunning views over the vineyard and rolling mountains in the horizon. Added bonus, the property has a number of cute places to stay if you want to tip back a couple of extras glasses over sunset.

💎 Wild Diamond () - great wines and even greater views. Perched on top of the vineyard is a retrofitted shipping container that operates as the tasting room, sales room and nice air-conditioned break from the heat.

🌸 The Mercantile () - enjoy the full range of Shannon Family Wines at their super cute tasting room. Once your glass is full wander into their garden to ‘pick and sip’ from their brightly blooming zinnias.

[SAVE this post for an amazing Northern California adventure]

Greetings from the Blue Lakes, named because… well, I think you get it! We recently had the pleasure of visiting Lake County, a beautiful lakeside location just two hours north of the hustle and bustle of San Francisco.

invited us to come and drink wine from boutique wineries, experience farm to table dining, stay at the cutest accommodations and get adventurous with hikes and lakes. So naturally in the name of travel research we jumped at the idea!

We started our adventure in Upper Lake, staying at the charming Tallman Hotel for a couple of nights while we explored the area. Days were spent soaking in the sun while kayaking and SUPing on the Blue Lakes. Nights were spent eating delicious meals at the Blue Wing Saloon (Tallman’s onsite restaurant) and soaking in our private Japanese ofuro tub with a glass of local wine 🍷

Let’s go Niners! It was awesome watching the San Francisco 49ers beat their division rival Seattle last Sunday. And while the luck might have been with Christine’s first NFL game to get the Niners a win, unfortunately the bad news is the team lost up and coming star QB Trey Lance to a season ending injury 😢

When asked us to be local Bay Area sports ambassadors Jules just about jumped out of his chair! Not only do we get to drive some of the new Toyota fleet cars around (like the 2022 RAV4 Hybrid), but we’re going to be hitting up more Bay Area based sports teams over the coming months!

We still got a lot of love for our 2009 Toyota Camry, but boy was this RAV4 a nice upgrade for the week. Fuel efficient (Bay Area gas prices!!!) and such a smooth ride. Perfect for cruising down the 101 from SF to Levi Stadium!

Best Breweries in Bend, Oregon [SAVE THIS POST]

We just wrapped up an amazing week in Bend, Oregon (thanks to our friends at Visit Bend Oregon for hosting us). While visiting Bend we had two goals; check out some of the awesome sustainability initiatives the town has to offer and experience the famous Bend Ale Trail, a collection of 30 incredible breweries around the Bend-Redmond area. So let’s start with the beer 🍻

1. Bend Brewing Co. - located right on the banks of the beautiful Deschutes River and in the center of town, this spot is one of our favs for a delicious beer, some great food and social hangs. We recommend enjoying your beer at one of their picnic tables overlooking the river.

2. Boneyard Beer - a completely unique and edgy alternative to the industrial chic look of most contemporary breweries. Boneyard, aside from brewing A+ beer, has a real biker vibe to it. From the new tasting room (opening very soon) to the pub, Boneyard is a badass experience.

3. Spider City Brewing ( - located just a short drive outside of the city center, this spot has some amazing brews. Women founded and owned, food truck onsite and one of the best hazy IPAs we tried on this trip.

4. Crux Fermentation Project - if brewing beers was a class project for Crux, then they would have passed with flying colors. Beers are absolutely on point and the space is probably one of the best for a session. Huge outside area with fire pits, food trucks, corn hole and a wicked view of the mountains. Inside is cozy and modern. Prime spot!

Check back throughout the next couple of weeks as we show you more of Bend, Oregon ✌🏼

🚂 🇫🇮 After getting off the Helsinki overnight train we were officially in the Arctic Circle. It’s the furthest north either of us had ever been, and in mid December there was only a couple of hours of light each day. Our goal, find the famous Northern Lights 💡

But before we did that we checked into Pyhä Igloos, our stunning accommodation for the next couple of nights. Our beautiful Finnish and Nordic designed room, equipped with it’s very own Alvar Aalto furniture, was the perfect spot to kick back for a few days.

We spent our days exploring the town and snow hiking. And at lunch we’d start a fire in the Kota (an Arctic BBQ hut) and cooked our food directly on the fire. This cozy space was the perfect spot to warm up after being in the snow, with a roaring hot fire and reindeer pelt blankets to keep us toasty 🔥

And if that was enough to warm us up, then the on-site sauna and spa was the best way to get the blood flowing 👌

After exploring Helsinki, Jules and I stuffed ourselves into an overnight train compartment and headed North! 🚞 We’d never done an overnight train before and even though it was too dark to see out the windows, it still felt like a magical experience a la the Hogwarts Express (yes, 2 Harry Potter nerds here! 🤓)

Heading to the Lapland region of Finland was incredible. We skipped Santa’s hometown of Rovaniemi and opted for the less touristy and commercialized town of Pyhätunturi (no offense to Rovaniemi, it’s still on our list!).

When we arrived we found ourselves in the most pristine environment, surrounded by only snow and trees. ❄️ 🌲 It was peaceful, calm and had all the natural holiday vibes we were looking for.

More coming up on Pyhä and the awesome igloo we stayed in!

We’reeeeee backkkkkkk! After almost two years of no international travel we’re super stoked to be back on the road and exploring a brand new country…. Finland!

This week we’re working alongside Helsinki Partners to help promote Helsinki’s amazing sustainable tourism initiatives. We’re also hitting up traditional saunas, chasing the Northern Lights, diving onto local cuisine and so much more.

Be sure to follow along as we post regular Facebook Reels 👍🏼

Also, it was -14C/7F when this picture was taken, so our faces are frozen 🥶

We tried to capture the essence of our North Dakota trip through photos but we realized we needed a video to do it justice! 🏔 Travel North Dakota

From the quiet hiking trails and epic views to the kind people of Watford City and beyond, cruising around Skunk Bay on ATVs and catching a glimpse of a wild horse herd on our last foggy morning on the way to the airport. 🐴😍

There were so many small moments that made this trip so fun. Thanks to everyone who welcomed us in North Dakota!

The last stop on our North Dakota road trip was the stunning Skunk Bay on Lake Sakakawea, situated inside the Fort Berthold Reservation. While there we had the pleasure of staying at The Rooster at Skunk Bay, the lakefront resort where guests and boats from other destinations around the lake meet to enjoy water sports, chilling on the sand and the full service bar and grill. ⛱🥳 Travel North Dakota

From early morning fishing trips 🎣 and ATV rides across the countryside it was awesome to explore the local area. But one of our highlights from the trip was visiting the owner’s herd of horses, and watching from a distance the wild horses that roam the area.

If you know Jules and I then you know that we absolutely love animals. And being able to interact with animals in a safe, humane and sustainable way is aways a treat.

Big thanks to The Rooster owners Cyndy and Ken, and the other members of the Skunk Bay community, who showed us an awesome time!

** Last photo is of legit wild horses that we came across in the heavy 7am fog while driving out of Skunk Bay. Notice the banged up scars on them (probably from fighting and hopping fences) and also the tiny baby horses ❤️

Heading to North Dakota we expected a lot of wide open spaces, farm land and tractors (which we found!). What we weren’t expecting, however, was the hip and developed little town of Watford City // Travel North Dakota

Watford City has all the best parts small town charm (some of the nicest locals we’ve ever met), mixed with some truly cool shops and restaurants that wouldn’t be out of place in San Francisco.

We loved starting our day with breakfast at the local diner and a stroll to the visitor’s center where we learned about the local history from Sue (shout out to Sue, she’s a legend!). And ending our day drinking local craft beers and chowing down on stone fire pizzas at Stonehome Brewing. 🍺

Watford City is truly a blend of old and new that you don’t find in most places. The best of both worlds.

When’s the last time you hit a hiking trail and found yourself saying “wow!” around every corner? 🏞 Travel North Dakota

The Maah Daah Hey trail in Western North Dakota was exactly that. What started out as a hike through rugged, dry terrain quickly surprised us as we turned a corner to find a canyon valley covered in greenery! 🌲🌳

The best part? Besides a lone biker and a woman walking her very excited dogs, we were the only people on the trail. 🥾

Looking out over the Little Missouri River we were able to enjoy the serenity of being completely surrounded by nature.
