Getting on the action fast to chase down agressive game fish here in Costa Rica. We use sustainable fishing techniques, and practice catch and release when possible. With a wide variety of fishing options, no matter what sort of experience you are after, we can make it happen. Water and snacks are provided on all tours, as well as an explanation of local fishing history, local and migratory fish a

nd bird species. Eating what you catch is always something to look forward to. We can have a beach bbq after fishing, or head to a local restaurant where your catch is cooked up for you.

If you have been following us you know the Snapper fishing has been out of this world the past week in Costa Rica. Pre dawn launches, first light bite, early mornings, it's all been worth it. The Mustad Wingman in 80g has been the killer every day, catching fish on almost every drop. Get out there and get after it.

The colours last night were mental.
Testing s new fishing ground. We set out at 4 pm and headed 1.5 miles offshore to fish some very suspicious looking bottom formations. Very quickly the trip proved fruitful when we started marking fish in 100 feet if water. Tied in a trusy Mustad 100g Wingman and hooked into this beautiful 10 kg Cubera Snapper. The Daiwa Saltist 4000 paired up on a JYG Pro 80-240g jigging rod made light work of it. The action on this rod is amazing for kayak fishing.

Testing new fishing grounds is rewarding. We had identified a new spot and took a gamble. It paid off in spades. First drop and the boys tripled up. They were hitting everything but the winners were Jyg Pro Deeper 440g. Fishing in 750 to 800 feet of water requires the right gear, part of that is the right lure. Get out there and push your boundaries. Great things await those who pursue them.

What a day this was.
Gary and Aaron paddled out looking for something for dinner and after a long day of coming up empty, it all came together. Gary hooked into this beauty Cubera Snapper on a loght 40g jig and proceeded to be dragged around for the better part of 40 minutes before landing it. Needless to say we all ate well that day. Doubled up in the rain!
No matter the conditions, being prepared and understanding what is going on is very important for any fishing trip. This day we knew it was going to be rainy, but with a low wind call and hardly and swell running it wasn't a priblem. We caught some great fish, had fun, ate ceviche on the boat and caught dinner. Another one!
Early bird gets the worm as they say. Kevin came to fish with us from the US and we launched in the dark, headed out to our jigging grounds and go into it. This beautiful Roosterfish was caught on a Jyg Wyld 60g rigged with BKK assist hooks on a Daiwa BG MQ 4000 paired up on a Shimano Talavera jigging rod. Yozuri Superbraid as always, best gear in the business puts fish in the boat. Well done Kevin, can't wait for our next trip!

Today was a day of days. On our FIRST drop we hooked into a small Roosterfish, and proceeded to land 5 more total. This was our biggest one for the day. Safely released to fight again another day. Daiwa BGMQ 4000 reel, Shimano Talavera rod, Mustad Wingman 80g, BKK assist hooks, Yozuri line and leader.... the perfect combo really..... light jigging is so fun, come try it with us!

Double Trouble!
Nothing like 1 Roosterfish to wake you up in the morning, but 2 is even better. On a kayak fishing trip this morning we went 6 for 6 on Roosters, all properly released so they could fight again another day, Musyad Wingman and Mustad Zippy got the job done! That Jyg Pro rod is a treat to use out if the kayak. Great action. Let's go fish together and make some memories.

The pot of gold at the end of the rainbow sometimes looks like a beautiful sunrise over the Cabo Blanco National Park on the Nicoya Peninsula in Costa Rica. Most people never see a sunrise let alone from a Kayak in the Pacific Ocean. Pushing yourself out of your comfort zone will always be worth it. How far are you willing to go? Jigging up a nice Almaco on a Half Day Inshore tour out of Herradura. So much fun on Slow Pitch Jigging gear!!

What a run at the start!!!! Jigging nice Corvina was never as fun as out of the Hobie PA17T. These fish are tricky to land as they have a very soft mouth and are picky eaters. A well presented jig and some patience go a long way. Having the right equipment for the job is indispensible as well. The 40g Zippy jig has been an amazing weapon putting countless trophy fish in the boat. It works in a variety of conditions and with different applications. We have landed more fish on the Daiwa BG 2500 and 5500 as well as the Lexa 300 HD than any other reels in our many years of fishing. These things just work. There is a time and place for everyhing. Today was the day for the monster to be tamed. My man Mario landed a Thresher Shark that we estimated around 120kg on a jig. His biggest catch to date, it was released safely to fight again another day. What a battle!!!! 2.5 hours on a Accurate Boss Fury loaded with 50 lb Power Pro, 60lb Segaur leader, and a 400g JYG Deepest lure on an Assasin H rodfrom Australia. Water and snacks are provided on all tours, our fleet of boats all have shade, our captains are local and know these waters better than they know the roads. All of our trips are fun and engaging, our crew strive to make sure you have a great time on board! All that is left to do is pick your dates, and decide what you would like to fish for! We will put you on the action and coach you through the process of landing the fish of a lifetime. We offer charters for all ages and experience levels, so weather you are just getting into it, or you are an old salt yourself, we will have something fun for you to do!
