Kids can get free plane rides.

Refurbished historic "warbirds" and home-built airplanes will be displayed at the Aviation Day Open House, located at mile marker 51 at Marathon Airport in the Florida Keys, on Nov. 14, 2009, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event will feature food and fun plus free plane rides for kids ages 8-17.

Good Evening! The weather conditions at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida are forecast to remain “go” for a launch tonight by United Launch Alliance of the Atlas V rocket and Tracking and Data Relay Satellite. Meteorologists are calling for a 70 percent chance of acceptable weather at launch time, which is 8:48 p.m., and the launch window extends to 9:28 p.m. EST.

What now? ADVENTURE!... family style!!
Join us on a Weeki Wachee River Paddle. For only $40 per boat, you can canoe or kayak all day with us! Or bring your own boat for free!

We will meet for lunch at noon at the Upper Deck, which is an awesome restaurant right on the river with great wings and beer. You can paddle right up to the restaurant, and beach your boat while you eat overlooking the river!

***We must have your RSVP by Saturday the 17th to have the right number of kayaks and canoes***

Also, please indicate in your comments if you need a canoe, a kayak, or a tandem kayak - thanks!

Alafia was blast! We would like to thank the event coordinators, volunteers, and park staff who all worked together to make this years event such a success!

If you are going to the Alafia FTF tomorrow, come by our booth. We will be around all day meeting people, handing out cards, you can sign our email list, we will have free water for everyone, we will be taking photos of the event and shooting Gopro footage on the trails. Come out and shred!
