LTB Founded in 2015, LTB focuses on basketball and character development of all ages. Our travel teams c LTB takes the right approach to basketball training.

Four years ago, a group of parents approached Coach Luke Toth about the struggles and frustrations they had with their travel basketball program. At the time, Coach Luke was a private school teacher and varsity assistant basketball coach, and was training youth players after high school practices. Luke started one travel team that year, and in just four years Luke Toth Basketball (LTB) was establi

shed, growing to over 20 teams. The primary reason for such success is the method in how we conduct youth basketball. While many programs, coaches, and even some parents fail to see what youth basketball is all about, the LTB model and structure has a proven success record, and is what sets us apart. Our basketball philosophy prepares players to become better players, but also prepares these young players for life. All teams and coaches within our program will make the commitment of following the LTB philosophy!

By request, this fall LTB will be offering challenging small group training sessions in multiple locations throughout northeast Ohio! Our player development workouts are designed uniquely for each player. After analyzing and examining the player’s skills and abilities, we design a unique improvement plan for each player. Each plan is designed to improve the players skills and knowledge of the game. We create unique workouts and training sessions that focus on many different areas and aspects of the game. Here are some of the areas and skills we work on in a typical workout or workout plan:

🏀 Stationary Ball-Handling
🏀 Ball-Handling On-The-Move
🏀 Finishing Moves
🏀 Jab-Step and Ball-Fake Series
🏀 Using Ball-Screens
🏀 Stationary Shooting
🏀 Shooting On-The-Move
🏀 Inside Moves (Post Moves)
🏀 Defensive Footwork

Our workouts also look to build character, consistency, and work ethic. Sessions consist of 3 to 8 players per session.

Due to the temperature in the gym at Messiah Lutheran, we are rescheduling the games tonight for next Tuesday July 23rd at Lutheran West.

There are NO games or practices tonight at Messiah.

We will send out a full schedule, rosters, and list of teams that will be attending next Tuesday.

There will be more games offered again in August as well - please stay tuned for updates.

Thank you to all families, parents, players, and coaches who made the 2024 Spring Season a year to remember! We want to thank everyone who was a part of it, through the highs and the lows. This season, we had over 330 players in the program, and 33 total teams, the most in program history. Please see our page for some photos from the 2024 Spring Season.

Such a big weekend for the city of Cleveland and women’s basketball! Our very own LTB Girls Director Rakayla Iwais @_rakayla talks with News Channel 5 on the importance of the girls game and how much it is growing! 🏀💪

This is what it’s all about in youth hoops!! At our first Bedford Travel Basketball practice, the coaching staff challenged the players to work as hard as they could during our station work. The players worked their tails off, so the coaches decided to let them each shoot a NBA three to win Coach Luke’s personal Cavs tickets. Over 50 girls attended our early tryouts for the 2024 Spring Season! Everyone who attend the tryouts will receive an email by the end of the week. The boys are up next! We will have two sessions tonight and Friday at Messiah Lutheran in Fairview Park.

Great first two days of skill sessions to start of the 2023 Fall Travel Season. This fall, we will have 130 kids in the program, making up 15 total teams. Reminder: There are no practices tonight at Messiah due to volleyball. All practices for tonight have been moved to Saturday morning.

We are excited to welcome back 8th graders Olivia Shay, Adrienne Andos, and Jordan Cremona for our 2023 Fall Program! All three girls had a good 7th grade year, and we are looking forward to seeing them on the court for their 8th grade season. Last call for our fall program will be next week!

Great skills session tonight for the girls 🏀💪

LTB May Skills Clinics continue this week! We had a great showing last week across all grade levels. These clinics are for any AAU player that played in our program this spring. Tonight we are back at Lutheran West. Come work on your game! 💪🏀

Starting this week, we will be offering skill development clinics for all players in the LTB program. These clinics will be free of charge for all LTB players. The clinics are open to both LTB West and LTB East players. Please have your child bring a basketball if possible. The schedules have been sent out via email. During the beginning and the end of the season, we really like to hone in on skill work. Players and teams are sometimes caught in the season and scrimmage mode, the skill work sometimes gets pushed to the side. These skill clinics bring those fundamentals back to focus and make our program what it is. We are hoping to see a lot of players work on their game this week! 🏀💪

Many highlights from day one, but it was awesome to see legendary Padua coach Jake Lantz coaching our LTB 4th Grade Girls team. The girls will learn so much playing under his guidance this season. Welcome to the program Coach Lantz!
