Educating today’s children about the Holocaust should be a priority for people of every faith and color. We can’t continue to see people being killed for their differences and the only way to combat this is education.

Names Not Numbers is a program for 8th graders across the nation meeting survivors and making movies about their experiences that will be handed down for generations. I am honored to be able to be an educator in this program at Brauser Maimonides in Hollywood, FL.

Nearly 80 years ago the Holocaust began and took the lives of more than 6 million from our Jewish families. There is not a day that goes by where remembering isn’t an option, but today the focus is that much greater. Our family remembers the members of the Hein, Schlachter, Grabinski, Unger, and Gábor/Gruens who were murdered at the hands of pure evil.
