Acacia-adventure.com is a Tour operator which Specializes with incentive Adventurous travel, family vacation and luxury tourism in Jordan, Egypt, the Sinai Peninsula, Israel and Israel. Acacia-Adventure works in close cooperation with my family company called "Timeless Adventure" that was first founded in Sinai in 1974 by my parents, Bjorn and Annette Idar. I am the owner of "Acacia-Adventure.com"
I was born in Sweden, my father is Swedish and mother is French. When I was one year old my parents moved to France for one year. Then when I was about 2, we moved to Dahab, in the south part of Sinai, then a real Paradise on earth. Hundreds of kilometers of beach with Granite Mountains descending almost into the Red Sea. My parents received a tempting, business proposal- to open the first diving Center on the beach of the Red Sea. So of course they said yes (-:
Almost no road (a dirt road with rocks and sand), no electricity, fresh water and many other "small useful things" that didn't exist yet in Sinai at that time. My mother was 7 month pregnant then and I was less than 2 years old!
3 month later, my brother Kim was born and 5 years later, my sister Cindy was born as well. Our friends where the Bedouin children living in the 2 small villages nearby and during the Holidays we had friends coming from Europe and Israel. (some are still our friends today). During the years, my parents expanded the business and added special one to two weeks camel (dromedary) safaris in the desert (1976 for the "Club Med")and diving safaris in the amazing Red Sea. I lived in Israel for a few years, then I moved to Sweden for a few more years, and now I share my life between Israel and Europe. I am now the owner of the tour operator company my parents started many years ago. Today it's called "Acacia-Adventure.com"
It has changed today, but many of the tours are the same, even with the same Bedouin guides. Why am I telling you my childhood story? Just for you to know that I really love, know and live the people and the area and will give you the possibility to have an unforgettable holiday.
