We are located in the picturesque Kangra valley, 12 km past the town of Palampur. Ideally located in a tea estate, Jyoti Niwas is a colonial structure with sprawling gardens and even a private forest in front of it.

The sprawling gardens and the heritage structure together make this place particularly special. It has two ensuite rooms and a large living room in between. We now have a full time chef who will conjure up meals for you.

Jyoti Niwas is located in the picturesque Kangra Valley of Himachal Pradesh,12km past the tea growing town of Palampur. The home-stay consists of three bedrooms, a living room, dining room and an out-house kitchen. It is an ideal place for people looking for an escape from city life and wanting privacy on their holiday. When people rent out the house, not only do they get to stay in a heritage house (built in the 1920's), they can even enjoy the large open lawns to themselves! There is a large front porch, where guests can simply look into the greenery, hear bird songs and essentially forget about there hectic city lives for a while.
There is also a camping option for the more adventurous! We can set up tents on short notice.
Guests have the option of using the kitchen to prepare their own meals or opt to have someone prepare their meals (on prior notice). Either way, we ensure only the freshest vegetables and produce for their meals, some of which are taken from our own garden.
