About the beekeeper

Our head beekeeper has over thirty years’ experience but got a humble start in the business. While still in high school, working as a summer camp counselor, he was introduced to beekeeping. He decided to start his own hive with his earnings from that summer. His first hive was in Hyde Park in a suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio. When he moved to Dayton, Ohio for college his hive came

with him. Though beekeeping was a life-long passion other demands took precedence and this was set aside. However, in 2010 he took up this initiative again, having retained and maintained his beekeeping equipment throughout the years. He had an opportunity to establish a hive, which quickly grew to two hives, on Cave Hill Farm, a 50 acre farm in Adams County, Ohio and started producing Cave Hill Honey. Due the interest of his friends and family, satellite hives have been established in Indian Hill and North Side in Cincinnati, Ohio. The tradition continues to produce small quantity, high quality, pure, raw honey.
