Calling all Disney fans!!! Here’s some things that I learned at Disney this past week.

People obviously don’t research at all. Here’s what I mean by that. While out and about in the parks I heard and viewed these scenarios several times. People were unaware that there were no fast passes available right now at Disney. They were unaware that most food had to be mobile ordered ahead of time with the exception of some snacks. People also think that the rules about mask wearing don’t apply to them or their children. As we were leaving I heard a lady speaking with a cast member at the front desk saying she hadn’t linked her reservation so that’s probably why she never received a confirmation. I got to thinking about how things are working right now. If she never linked her reservation how did she make park reservations? Did she even have them? Did she realize that without them she couldn’t get into a park? I didn’t hear the rest of the conversation and I hope that wasn’t the case. She needed to know that information that ahead of time to avoid a huge mistake that could have cost her a lot of time and money.

Yes, you can obviously go to Disney without knowing these things but your overall experience would be so much better if you did. I put this out there because I want people to be informed. There are people like myself that can help you for the exact same price that you will pay by booking it all online yourself. I know I would much rather have a trained, local individual to help me along the way, while supporting a small business at the same time.
If you or a family member are thinking about travel to any location whether Disney or elsewhere I’d love to help you be informed and get the most out of your time and money.

I agree with my Universal rep Derek that Hagrid’s is my favorite coaster in Orlando! It opened with a 600 minute wait time. Happy 1 year anniversary Hagrid’s. Thank goodness there’s no 600 minute wait today. You can get in a virtual line and enjoy other things while waiting!! Heck yes!

Have you and your family been thinking about going to Universal but you just couldn’t take the leap. Maybe now is the time!! Check out the message my friend sent me yesterday. He’s been there for a couple days already.

“If you can bring the family down now do it! The park is nearly empty. They are doing a wonderful job with spacing and all corona related things. All rides are walk on. Virtual que for hagrids....I’m about to get on.”

I am often asked why it is better booking through me than booking online yourself. Well, the past few weeks I have spent countless hours on hold, canceling, and rescheduling clients trips. I’ve saved clients time and money. And I did all of that while having 2 other jobs! Exciting news! You can now reserve access to experience Mickey’s cartoon universe like never before at Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

FastPass+ reservations for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway just became available in the My Disney Experience app for guests visiting on or after opening day (March 4). When the attraction opens, you will be able to enjoy the amazing world of Mickey using either FastPass+ service or a standby line.

ATTN all Disney fans

I got this from a friend- we did not write this but it is 100% true!!!!!

PSA- please read!!

If you are hoping for free dining (or fall room promo) to be applied to your current booking- please understand that just bc you have a resort booked that is in the promo, it doesn't mean you will qualify... And that if you do qualify and your TA is trying to get it for you- it may or may not happen --- realize that thousands of TAs are up at 5am trying to get their clients the discounts, and they do run out often.

Disney does these promos to fill resorts that aren't booked up to their liking. It is a way to get more people there --- it's not something they do just to be nice and give to everyone (I wish!).... So they limit the amount of rooms that can get the promos, etc.

Lesson here is to always book what you can afford and if a promo comes out that you can get- bonus!! If not- it shouldn't be the end of the world if you have booked a vaca in your budget already.

And please be kind and patient with your TA as they are horribly stressed by these promos because they truly want to get it for all their customers and sometimes can't and it breaks their hearts to tell clients "sorry".... I am personal friends with many TAs, as well as being one myself, and know how stressful this type of thing is for them.

And know that if you hear of some random friend who got the promo booking on their own- it doesn't mean your TA didn't try- or that booking on your own is better - it isn't - it's all a crap shoot if you can get it or not - based off of what resort, dates, how many others have it already, etc.

Good TAs bust their butts trying to get the best trip booked for the best price for all of their clients. They are not paid until travel is completed- so every minute they spend getting quotes, sitting on hold trying to get you a deal, etc- shows no return until after the trip- they do this bc they love Disney and love helping to make your planning easier and more magical-- and help their family to afford school, dance lessons, groceries, etc.... All at no extra cost to you- so be kind and patient and appreciate all they do for us 🙂

Happy 2018 everyone!!! Are you already making those resolutions that you’re probably not gonna keep? Yeah, me too. I am making one that I do intend on sticking with, to travel more. My kids don’t need more junk. They need time together as a family making memories that will last a lifetime. Maybe your focused on that engagement ring you got for Christmas. If so, congrats!! I see a honeymoon in your future. For those of you that don’t know(some of you still don’t and I’ve been doing it for over 4 years) I’m a travel planner.
